I have quickly become a fan of Patrick’s play at LB. The 6’2″ 205 lbs LB/OLB has the athleticism needed to excel at the position. You can rely on him out in space, use him as a spy or delay blitzer, or send him right away. That athleticism is boosted by a high motor. Patrick triggers downhill against the run instantly. He is able to slide laterally, or shed blocks in order to get to the ball. At OLB you see a great example of his power as he can take on blocks and hold his ground to force the ball back inside. Cheney is developing a strong base of talent.
