About Lucas
Expert Analysis
Conner Smith | Prep Redzone Scout
The sophomore from Smith County is a massive man at 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds. He’s a versatile receiving option who can line up on the outside or the end of the line. Cornwell has nice hands and fights for extra yardage while being a solid route runner.
He’s a strong player on the offensive line with good blocking techniques. He has a high motor and plays hard, constantly looking for someone to hit. Cornwell needs to polish up a few things, but he’s already a good player.

looks destined for huge things next year at Smith County High School. Located in northern Middle Tennessee, Smith County High School only has a current student population of 520 kids but don’t tell the football team that, as the Owls have gone 21-5 over the last two seasons. Cornwell should be an obvious plus and play starter from the second he gets to the high school level. A three-sport athlete, he was impossible to cover on the the gridiron this year. Cornwell lined up in the slot and out towards the boundary on film, and it truly didn’t matter if he was covered in man, zone or bracketed with safety help over top. I’ve said it several times, he reminds me a ton of what

(consensus No.1 2026 TE in Tennessee) looked like when he was in eighth-grade. Cornwell told me back in November that was 6-foot-5 and 185-pounds and I can’t wait to see what he officially measures in at some time soon. He’s destined for some big things.

is a name that college TE coaches around the country should start to kick the tires on right now. He’s a big, tall kid that sticks out like a man amongst boys. The three-sport athlete (basketball and baseball too) lives about an hour outside of Nashville, and will be at Smith County High School next year. Look for him to be a varsity option immediately, on a team that reached the 2A quarterfinals this year.

– Three-sport athlete (baseball and basketball) that looks like he is destined for some big things athletically. Don’t have exact measureables, but I’m guessing he’s around 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, based off his film
– Uses his that size very well and is a mismatch at this level of play, simply overwhelming defenses with size, pretty good speed and hands. Just a man amongst boys on this level
– He is nearly an EXACT replica of how PRZ Next camp alumni and 2026 tight end prospect,

looked as an eighth-grader. While Sneed is closing in on 20 scholarship offers as a sophomore, Cornell was used the exact same way as an eighth-grader this year, getting the ball on end-arounds and lining up in the slot, too.
