As the regular season has come to a close, today we are gonna take a look at a few of the players who have helped write the story of the 2023 football season amongst the Greater Spokane League. This will not just be the top players of the year, but players to look out for in the playoffs and those who have silently impressed this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428216' first='Noah' last='Holman'] RB 5'11” 185lbs - Gonzaga Prep, Spokane

Being present at the Mt. Spokane - Gonzaga Prep matchup last weekend, I got to witness some of the most consistent games of offensive production that I've seen from Holman with the GSL Title on the line. Featuring as the ‘Diveback' in Prep's option offense, Noah has shown that he is a real threat to defenses across the league, executing his job at a high level and running through defenders for extra yardage. I was surprised to see that he's listed at only 185lbs due to the power running style he posses, and I believe he will be the cornerstone of the Bullpups offense next season.

Landen Quesnell DB 5'11” 170lbs - Ridgeline HS, Liberty Lake

Being one of the best defenders in the 2024 class, Landen is currently tied for the most INTs in GSL play with 4. Playing as more of a zone cornerback, Landen's highlight tape is riddled with good form tackles and plays on the line of scrimmage. Although it does not appear that he currently holds any offers, I wouldn't be surprised to see some local colleges taking a shot at bringing Quesnell to campus.

[player_tooltip player_id='643440' first='Matteo' last='Saccomanno'] RB 5'10” 190lbs - Mt. Spokane HS, Mead

Saccomanno brings a different dynamic to the Mt. Spokane offense. Being a power-first back, Matteo is able to create running lanes not only with his physical play, but he also has incredible burst around the edge, commonly making the last man miss on the goal line. His recruitment has been steady throughout this season, earning offers from Arizona Christian(NAIA), Puget Sound (D3) and Lewis & Clark College(D3). I expect for his recruitment to grow even more at Mt. Spokane looks poised to make a deep playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1108396' first='Aaron' last='Kinsey'] 6'0” 170lbs - Rogers HS, Spokane

One of the most interesting stories of this season has been the play of Aaron “Deon” Kinsey. Starting the year at QB for the Pirates, a wrist injury made him quickly transition to WR and DB full-time. Roger's 7-2 record isn't an accident, as Kinsey and company have been turning heads ever since this summer and have successfully done so posting the schools best record in over 2 decades. Deon currently holds an offer from Minot State (D2), and I suspect he will get even more as the playoffs near and final regular season highlights come out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1065416' first='Landon' last='Garner'] 6'1” 170lbs - Ridgeline HS, Liberty Lake

Although Ridgeline is a new football program, they have found their signal-caller in Garner. Leading the GSL in passing, you see that his ability to quickly release the ball and get it out accurately is a huge part of the Falcons success, reminding me of successful GSL QBs who have came before hime. Being in the class of 2025, I expect for Landon to gain a lot of interest as the playoffs unfold and the summer circuit kicks up before his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='643408' first='Bode' last='Gardner'] 6'2” 180lbs - Mt. Spokane HS, Mead

Nobody can talk about the GSL regular season without mentioning the massive senior year from Mt. Spokane's [player_tooltip player_id='643408' first='Bode' last='Gardner']. Starring at both Safety and WR, Gardner is the focal point of the Wildcat offense that has helped bring an 8-1 record heading into district play. Gardner's speed is unmatched, earning him a track scholarship to Idaho during the season. Currently holding offers in football from Northwestern (D1 FBS) and Idaho (D1 FCS), Bode's recruitment is just getting started as many Big Sky schools have him on their radar.

As the regular season has come to a close, today we are gonna take a look at a few of the players who have helped write the story of the 2023 football season amongst the Greater Spokane League. This will not just be the top players of the year, but players to look out for in the playoffs and those who have silently impressed this fall.
