If you're not familiar with the Carolina's, specifically South Carolina, you may be wondering what "Low Country" is. The&nbsp;Low Country&nbsp;region of South Carolina is made up of marshes and other coastal waterways in Allendale, Bamberg, Beaufort, Berkeley, Calhoun, Charleston,&nbsp;Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton, Jasper, and Orangeburg Counties. Here's a look at five 2028 prospects from that area of the Palmetto State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1061044"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Fort Dorchester is home to a promising wide receiver prospect in [player_tooltip player_id='1061044' first='Derrick' last='Simpson']. Listed at 5-foot-9 and 141 pounds (unofficially), he's the type of player offensive coordinators love because of the different packages and ways they can use a player with his skill set. On film he comes with very good speed that allows him to take end-around's, reverse's and direct snaps for big gainers. He's most dangerous in space and has enough wiggle to move around slow-footed linebackers and corners. When it comes to more traditional wide receiver skill sets, he can make some very spectacular catches and isn't afraid to give up his body to come up with a grab. I really like Simpson as an offensive threat.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1061094"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"This past August, PRZ Next's No.1 2027 prospect coming out of middle school was Jayden Kelly-Murray, now at Summerville High School. This season, it's 2028 linebacker Jaylen Pryoru002du002dalso a Summerville prospectu002du002dthat has caught my eye on film. Just an eighth-grader, Pryor is listed at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds (unofficially) and is having a very strong year as a middle linebacker on the JV level. Pryor brings a scary amount of athleticism to the linebacker position. He gets his hands on more passesu002du002deither deflecting them or picking them offu002du002dthan most athletes in the secondary do. On film it's easy to see why he's had a prolific year in pass defense. When he reads pass, he does a borderline-elite job at opening his hips and gaining depth in his drops. To double down on that, his speed and agility helps him blanket pockets of the field. It goes without saying as a middle linebacker, that he's frequently around the ball as well during run playsu002du002dpadding the state sheet in the tackles department. I'll say this about the Green Wave prospect, I wouldn't totally count out a move to a strong safety with his skillset against the run and the pass.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1061146"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Last week we took a look at talented 2028 Goose Creek linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1051659' first='Hayden' last='Denmark']; Today we look at his teammate and fellow 2028 prospect to know, [player_tooltip player_id='1061146' first='Teru' last='Davis']. Davis is unofficially listed at 5-foot-11 and 152 pounds, with excellent ball skills on both offense and defense. Typically I feel stronger about which position an ATH (athlete) will be listed at, but with Davisu002du002dI'm right down the middle. Offensively he's a wide receiver that brings speed, ball skills and toughness to the position. In addition to apparently taking a lot of pride in his blocking, Davis is primarily a weapon in the short and intermediate passing game, where he makes creating after quick screens and slants, look easy. Defensively he's an excellent safety. Can come up and make receivers pay with big hits, but can also has the finesse to snatch a ball out of mid-air and bring it back to the house.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1061219"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Holloway is an interior defensive line prospect that has some promise in the Cane Bay system. In the neighborhood of 6-foot and 180 pounds, he has a bit of a tweener sizeu002du002dsomewhere between defensive tackle and defensive end. He does a good job using his hands and long arms to absorb the initial blow from the offensive lineman, and then moves well laterally to impede the ball carrier from making progress up the field. Would like to see more strength and domination out of him on the interioru002du002dand I think he can do it. Instead of playing reactionary ball, if he starts to impose u003cemu003ehis u003c/emu003ewill on the offensive line, I think he'll start to fulfill the promise he has.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1016577"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Rounding out the Low Country-focused write-up today, James Island's [player_tooltip player_id='1016577' first='Elijah' last='Mitchell'] is an eighth-grade prospect certainly worth keeping an eye on. Alongside teammate and fellow 2028 standout [player_tooltip player_id='874321' first='Raphael' last='Puiu'], the duo is quite the one-two punch for the Trojans. Speaking specifically on Mitchell now, he brings some size and length to the field, unofficially listed at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds. A year ago I saw some film and thought with his build and catching radius, that he'd be a no-brainer at wide receiver. However, watching some of his more recent film, I'm starting to like him as a safety as well. Obviously has the hands to intercept some passes, but his willingness to come up and hit isn't something I anticipated. He's not shy about coming up, bending his knees while dropping his levels and making a one-on-one tackle. I've made the switch and am now listing Mitchell as an ATH (athlete) because he's a plus on both sides of the ball.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65390d902ac00"} /-->
