Ethane Hyche Ethane Hyche 6'0" | RB Edmond Santa Fe | 2021 State OK – Edmond Santa Fe (#102 Overall)
Despite coming into 2020 as a bit of an unknown, Hyche managed to have one of the best seasons of any RB in the state. Alongside Micah Snoddy Micah Snoddy 5'10" | RB Edmond Santa Fe | 2021 OK , Hyche led one of the most potent rushing attacks in the state and finished with over 1700 yards and 24 TDs. Hyche is your ideal power running back who has great size, contact balance, vision, and a good amount of burst for a back of his style. Hyche’s breakout senior season has gotten him recognition from all over the state, including from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he has recently signed to play for the next 4 years.
Noah Alexander Noah Alexander 5'9" | RB Eufaula | 2021 State OK – Eufala (#90 Overall)
Somehow Noah Alexander Noah Alexander 5'9" | RB Eufaula | 2021 State OK has gone somewhat under the radar over the past few seasons despite being one of the best at his position. Alexander is a little undersized but he is not small or weak by any means. Alexander is an explosive athlete who made bouncing off of tackles and then reaccelerating look way too easy over his career at Eufala. He is not a burner with his straight-line speed, but he has plenty of burst to fly through holes once they open up. Alexander is one of a few 2021 RBs going to the division one level as he is signed with Army West Point.
Dominique Dunn Dominique Dunn 6'2" | RB Mustang | 2021 State OK – Mustang (#37 Overall)
After getting bigger and stronger over the off-season, Dunn came into 2020 trying to show that he can compete at the next level and I’d say he did a pretty good job of that. He had one of the best seasons of all the 2021 backs and showed that he has some versatility as well. Dunn is a bit bigger than most RBs at 6’3″, and it showed as he bullied opposing defenses all season on the ground with his raw power and strength. Dunn is signed and committed to play at the University of Central Oklahoma for the next few years, but don’t be shocked if he makes a transition to TE with his combination of size and strength.
Javion Hunt Javion Hunt 6'1" | RB Carl Albert | 2021 State OK – Carl Albert (#24 Overall)
Although he did not have the senior season he may have hoped for in the stat sheets, Javion Hunt Javion Hunt 6'1" | RB Carl Albert | 2021 State OK is still without a doubt one of the best prospects and RBs in Oklahoma and will go out as a 4-time state champion. Hunt has all the tools you look for in a Division 1 starting RB and he has put them on display all throughout his career with the Titans. While he does not have the straight-line track speed the next back on this list does, Hunt is still pretty fast for an RB and has excellent acceleration, vision, and is just a straight-up playmaker. Hunt is one of two 2021 RBs in Oklahoma who is currently signed and committed to play at the University of Arkansas.
AJ Green AJ Green 6'0" | RB Union | 2021 State OK – Union (#3 Overall)
The final RB on our 2021 list has been the top dog in this position basically since he first took over at RB for Union. Along with Javion Hunt Javion Hunt 6'1" | RB Carl Albert | 2021 State OK , AJ has everything you could want in an RB, however, AJ is a true homerun threat in the open field and has elite speed, acceleration, and agility. At first glance, it was hard to evaluate Green at times because there are so many plays where he simply just outruns the defense once he hits the hole, but it is obvious now that his game-breaking speed is just a part of his game that makes him so unique. If they both remain RBs in college, it will be interesting to see how the Razorbacks split time and carries between Green and Hunt.
