Bartolome & Jones Are Quality Young Bluejay Prospects

Junction City wraps up its eight-game schedule with a road game at Emporia.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at six athletes in the class of 2025 and 2026  who have caught my eye. This is the second of two reports from Junction City's 47-0 win over the Trojans.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='284961' first='Petren' last='Bartolome']</strong>, OL, 6'0”, 290, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bartolome is Ranked No. 16 in Kansas in the Class of 2025. He plays right guard for Junction City. He gets a quick push off the snap. He plays with excellent pad level and can run or pass block. With his size, I would not be surprised if he moves to tackle when college teams come calling.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='595718' first='Jalen' last='Morgan']</strong>, DB, 5'10”, 175,‘25 (Pictured Above) </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morgan is a solid-cover corner who has quick feet and a nice vertical. He entered the game with 10 total tackles. He finished with four tackles in the win over the Trojans. Morgan has nice closing speed and can shut down quick screens.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='866503' first='Tymar' last='Jones']</strong>, OL, 6'1”, 270, ‘25 </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jones is the left tackle for Junction City. He is solid in pass-protecting. He gets good separation on his initial engagement. He has a really strong base and quick feet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115733' first='Damarion' last='Shaw'], </strong>DL, 6'0”, 218, ‘25</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shaw is an extremely fast defensive end. He looked like he was shot out of a cannon on an early kickoff. He can flat-out move and is strong enough to bull his way past offensive linemen. Shaw entered the game with 26 total tackles and three tackles for loss in six previous games. He entered the game against Topeka High with eight receptions gaining 175 yards and scoring two touchdowns.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1310396' first='Justice' last='Fonoti']</strong>, DL, 6'0”, 195, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fonoti missed the game against the Trojans with a concussion, but is expected to play in Junction City's final regular season game of the year.
