#1 West Linn @ #10 Tigard (WL -41)

The Lions are a clear cut #1 and left no doubt the last two weeks, beating Lake Oswego and Tualatin by a combined score of 86-14. Tigard got thumped by a decent Lakeridge team last Friday and have some work to do. This will likely be over early.

Barlow @ #2 Central Catholic (CC -39)

It will be another 5 weeks or so before Central faces any type of competition. The Rams are one of the top teams in the West and could drop 60 on the Bruins.

#3 Lake Oswego @ #4 Tualatin (LO -1)

This should be one of Oregon's best games this season. Lake O had no business beating Tualatin last year but figured out a way behind Steve Coury and staff. The Lakers return a majority of the athletes from last year's team, and add standout Sophomore back [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] and Jr. WR [player_tooltip player_id='902383' first='Carson' last='Schwindt']. This will be a test for a loaded T-Wolves roster with a handful of D1 kids. The state's most versatile athlete [player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'] has done a good job at the QB spot, but it does take away from other areas positionally. It's anyone's ball game.

Newberg @ #5 Sherwood (SHER -28.5)

What Sherwood is doing is almost unheard of with five straight shutouts, against decent competition. Newberg is another team which isn't bad, almost beating Mountainside. The Bowmen have a legit shot of moving into that #3 or #4 spot with continued dominance.

#15 Sunset @ #6 Jesuit (JES -12)

This should be interesting. The Crusaders played the toughest non-conference schedule in the NW and went 0-4. Sunset has some weapons led by Senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='858699' first='Drew' last='Nees'] and Metro League POY candidate [player_tooltip player_id='278374' first='Blake' last='Hurley']. That said as [player_tooltip player_id='152333' first='Lonnie' last='Burt'] is catching fire and could have a 300-yard night with 4+ TDs.

#7 Oregon City @ #8 Lakeridge (LAK -1.5)

The Pacers played well last week against a decent Tigard team, with [player_tooltip player_id='152356' first='Joey' last='Olsen'] making a statement and catching 11 passes for 150+ yards. OC has played outstanding defense all year, losing a close one to #3 Lake O last week 20-12. If Jr. QB [player_tooltip player_id='406768' first='Ben' last='Schneider'] puts points on the board the Pioneers will have a good shot.

#14 North Medford @ #9 Sheldon (SHEL -10)

Both teams are playing good football, winning a combined 9 games in a row between the two of them. North will travel to Eugene with something to prove, playing a young Sheldon team. I will be interested to see if a very talented Black Tornado line can contain 6-5 225-pound rising D1 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='511342' first='Will' last='Haverland'].

Roseburg @ #11 South Salem (SSAL -23.5)

The Indians hung around with North Medford for most of last week's game and have a few guys who can play, but the Saxons and [player_tooltip player_id='597348' first='Athan' last='Palmateer'] continue to put up 50 per contest.

Beaverton @ #12 Mountainside (MSIDE -35)

The Mavericks got past Sunset 21-16 last week, setting up a Metro League title showdown with Jesuit. The Mountainside sophomores continue to thrive.

#13 Nelson @ David Douglas (NELS -47)

Nelson is playing good ball behind Jr. QB [player_tooltip player_id='285852' first='Avirey' last='Durdahl'] and an experienced line. This should be over after the 1st quarter or by half at the latest.

OTHER GAMES

McMinnville @ Glencoe (McMINN -3)

Gresham @ Clackamas (CLACK -18)

Sprague @ North Salem (PICK EM)

Grants Pass @ South Medford (SMED -13)
