Fall -2023 Friday Film Room Analysis 10/6/23

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Recruits are posting their single game and accumulative first three-game highlight reels of the fall 2023 season. That means it's time to begin our weekly "Friday Film Room Series" report analysis. In this report, I will preview various recruits with posted fall 2023 season films and briefly analyze what stands out for each recruit. Viewing a recruit's recent highlight film is one of many tools we use to evaluate. This is how we and many college coaches can get a great feel for each recruit and their potential. These reports include a Hudl video or link for each recruit that is viewed and evaluated. He has good size to his frame 6'5u0022 and moves fairly well (hoops), for his weight 345lbs.  I like how he gets off the ball with a low center of gravity and transitions this technique into using very good leverage to move his target. He routinely finishes his blocks by either holding his blocks to the whistle or pancaking the defender with a force of power to the ground. He has a series of clips that show his determination to block 1st to 2nd to 3rd level defenders.rnu003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eHis film is heavy run-blocking clips. I'd like to see more clips showing his effectiveness in getting in position to pass pro, punch, and anchor in place.  Overall, his run-blocking capabilities are impressive. This season he is delivering.  His accuracy is consistent.  The placement of his throws are good.  Shows good pocket awareness.  The vast majority of clips he has in his film appear to be solid placement throws. At first glance college coaches may see his height as a concern for the college level.  At 6'0u0022 in height, he falls into low D2/NAIA/All D3 Offensive line grouping on average.  The upside is he shines with a good skill set that could help him overcome a college coaches concern and he has time to continue growing. He is a inside offensive lineman. He displays decent foot quickness, foot fire on contact, base, effective getting to the second level, and can run in space. Makes good use of his hands especially in pass pro sets. Has the athletic ability to keep plays alive and escape the pocket to make plays with his feet or arm. He can surely get the ball out quickly when needed and with accuracy. Has sufficient power in the short throws including the deep out, comeback, dig, and seam route with slight loft as needed. Can change arm angles to make difficult throws. Best described as a pure athlete on the field and can make defenders miss. His measurables reflect FBS group of five and or High FCS Quarterback potential.   I've viewed his 2022 season film where he displayed a skill set reflecting ability to make tight window accurate throws.   Doesn't panic in the pocket. He continues to deliver the same traits this season showing even more comfortability in the pocket.  He steps up nicely into the pocket along with power in his throws downfield.  I like the velocity he puts in his throws.  His pocket awareness is very good. He continues to use his legs when needed and is very successful when doing so.
