There are some really good WR that will be Seniors in 2021. There are 5 in the top 25 to be exact and each one will have a tremendous impact on their teams success in the passing game. Here are the top 5. [player_tooltip player_id="89200" first="Mekhi" last="Miller"], 6’1, 180, Blue Valley North [player_tooltip player_id="89200" first="Mekhi" last="Miller"] is the #1 ranked WR and the #2 ranked player overall in the class of 2022. His great season in 2020 was a big reason why the Mustangs of Blue Valley North advanced to the 6A state championship game. He plays as a slot WR. At the snap, he takes long strides to eat up the cushion of the DB, uses his very good hip fluidity and quickness to break off his stem at a 45 degree angle on slant routes and possesses good hands as he is able to make catches on passes that are thrown both in and out of his strike zone. Displays good play strength as he can break tackles from DB and is able to accelerate to top speed quickly once he has the ball in his hands for big gains. [player_tooltip player_id="35549" first="Sterling" last="Lockett"], 5’10, 155, Blue Valley [player_tooltip player_id="35549" first="Sterling" last="Lockett"] is the #2 ranked WR and the 9th ranked player overall in the class of 2022. During the 2020 season, he caught 16 passes for 193 yds and 3 TD. He plays as a slot WR. He is a very good route runner who runs the entire route tree, tracks the ball well in the air and can also adjust his body to put himself in position to make the catch. Displays good hands as he makes on target catches with ease. Uses his good play speed and athletic ability to elude DB and LB after he catches the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="35585" first="Tyson" last="Struber"], 6’3, 180, Canton Galva [player_tooltip player_id="35585" first="Tyson" last="Struber"] is the #3 ranked WR and the #13 ranked player overall in the class of 2022. He plays primarily on the LOS as an X. He is a great deep threat who uses his play speed to get behind CB on go routes, tracks the ball in the air and can make catches on balls that are thrown over his shoulder. In addition, he will line up occasionally in the backfield where he runs behind his pads and shows great mental toughness as he runs through larger defenders. [player_tooltip player_id="35548" first="Kendrick" last="Jones"], 6’4, 185, Mill Valley [player_tooltip player_id="35548" first="Kendrick" last="Jones"] is the 4th ranked WR and the #16 ranked player overall in the class of 2022. In 2020, he caught 32 passes for 548 yds and 5 TD. His stellar play as a Junior was a big reason why the Mill Valley jaguars repeated as 5A state champions last year. He plays primarily in the slot. He takes short, quick choppy steps and he eats up the cushion of the DB, uses hip fluidity to separate against man coverage and posses very good hands as he makes the catch on passes that are through outside his strike zone. Occasionally, he will line up tight and is a very effective blocker as he quickly gets his hat across the SAM while executing a scoop block, winning with his hands inside and displays very good physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground. [player_tooltip player_id="35578" first="Jordan" last="Brown"], 6’4, 175, Basehor-Linwood [player_tooltip player_id="35578" first="Jordan" last="Brown"] is the #5 ranked WR and the 25th ranked player overall in the class of 2022. In 2022, he caught 73 passes for 1,048 yds and 16 TD. He plays on the outside as an X. He takes long, quick strides while using his very good mental processing while reading the coverage as he gets behind the CB on go routes or finds the soft spot in zone coverage, tracks the ball in the air very well and can make 1 handed catches. After the catch, he uses his very good play speed and acceleration to outrun all defenders for large gains as well as touchdowns.
