Woodbridge is coming off back to back losses to playoff bound Gainesville and Battlefield, they are looking to right the ship as conference play in Cardinal District begins tonight. Hylton has been rolling since they ended their own losing streak a few weeks back, I cant wait to cover this game, here are some players to watch below:
Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA
Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6'0" | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA
The first part of the Bulldogs one-two punch at running back is Junior Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6’0″ | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA . This young man has the ability to take over a game and has been a key weapon in the Hylton’s winning streak. Check out what I wrote about him a couple weeks ago:
Early on when Hylton was victimized by penalties and mental mistakes, it was this stud who got the Bulldogs going. Ripping off two touchdown runs in the first half, it was clear he was ready to put this team on his back. Rushing for over 100 yards in the contest, Marshall did just that and just like the rest of his team, he is a team first guy, you have to admire that approach. The junior is making his way up the recruiting boards with his dynamic ability both on the football field and in the classroom (3.67 GPA).rnThis young man continues to lead a resurgent Bulldog squad determined to get back into the playoffs!
Sean Leach Jr.
Sean Leach Jr.
While Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6’0″ | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA may be the thunder, Sean Leach is the Bulldogs lightning! I saw this up close two weeks ago when he took a toss on 3rd and 13 against Osbourn and went 87 yards untouched for a touchdown. I broke down his performance the day after his big game:
Didn’t have a chance to watch his tape before Hylton’s convincing win over Osbourn (Late) Friday night, but what I saw of him up close, I cam away very impressed. Sean Leach Jr. is a senior running back for the Bulldogs and he represents a dynamic one-two punch for their offense. He made what was perhaps the play of the night when he took a draw on 3rd and 13 and raced past the Osbourn defenders for an electric 83 yard touchdown run. Adding another touchdown later, him and teammate Logan Marshall Logan Marshall 6’0″ | 180 lbs | RB Hylton | 2025 State VA combined for four Bulldog touchdowns and had nearly 200 yards rushing. Leach is another uncommitted 2024 stud who deserves your attention post haste.
Collin Hughes Collin Hughes 6'2" | 225 lbs | DL Hylton | 2024 State VA
Collin Hughes Collin Hughes 6'2" | 225 lbs | DL Hylton | 2024 State VA
A stud 2024 defensive lineman who needs your attention is Collin Hughes Collin Hughes 6’2″ | 225 lbs | DL Hylton | 2024 State VA , this big man can move and get after you. When he rumbled down Osbourn’s sideline for a fumble return I knew right away this young man can play division 2 football. This dude can control the line of scrimmage and if Woodbridge isn’t careful, he will be disrupting their backfield before they know it.
Denzel Lambert
Denzel Lambert
One of the top receivers in Virginia is a star for Woodbridge, this will be the first time tonight I get witness him in action, cant wait! He is another high calibar star who can take over a game, look what he did to Unity Reed earlier this month:
The senior wideout nearly took down Unity Reed by himself, with his four touchdown performance. Denzel Lambert cannot be overlooked by college coaches anymore, he is too good and his game last week showed that. Lambert had 7 receptions and also over 100 all-purpose yards, on a evening where he was clearly on a mission to get the Vikings their first win of the season. Nabbing three scores through the air and 1 rushing, Lambert once again showed why he is one of the most overlooked players for the class of 2024.rnhttps://x.com/denzellxmbertt/status/1698158373311521117?s=20
A ballhawk at his free-safety spot senior Amaree Womack Amaree Womack 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Woodbridge | 2024 VA is another standout I am looking forward to seeing in person tonight. Always around the football, Womack is one of the Cardinal District leaders in tackles. Sporting a 3.4 GPA he is starting gain traction for his future plans as schools such as Fairmont State and Limestone have definitely shown they are interested.

Highlights
The freshman sensation out of Woodbridge is quarterback Denari Hill Denari Hill 6’2″ | 175 lbs | QB Woodbridge | 2027 VA and he has wasted no time in making an impact. After his awesome outing in their win against Unity Reed, here is what I had to say:
Stepping in to compete at a freshman is tough in any sport, becoming the starting quarterback is even tougher. Not only has Denari Hill Denari Hill 6’2″ | 175 lbs | QB Woodbridge | 2027 VA stepped up, he has made his case as one of the top prospects for the class of 2027. Mr. Hill lead his Vikings to a dominant 41-6 victory over Unity Reed last Thursday, in the process he threw for 5 touchdown passes! This was a good defense he was facing in Unity Reed, when I watched them up close two weeks ago. For Denari to step in and do this in just his second varsity football game will certainly open eyes throughout the entire district.
