In the 11-man classes alone, we're going to see three different games that feature unbeaten teams squaring off. Every Monday, we kick off the week of coverage with a breakdown on the ten best games across the state. And because we rarely follow our own rules, we have ten marquee match-ups plus five more games of interest to follow this week. Broken Bow came into this season as the top-ranked team in Class 4A and for the most part, they've played like that. They have been solid since dropping a tough week four game to Sallisaw on the road. But they are heading to hostile territory against a team and program on the rise. Stilwell is one of the best turnaround stories in the state this season. They went 2-8 last year and enter this week at 6-1 with the only loss coming to Sallisaw, in a game that the Indians led at halftime. Stilwell just got a statement win last week over Poteau and now they're looking for another in week eight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/ardmore-vs-chickasha-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/ardmore-vs-chickasha-october-23-2026/">CHICKASHA (7-0) AT ARDMORE (7-0)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There is a week ten showdown looming with Ardmore and Tuttle but before we get there, Chickasha wants to show that they belong in the conversation among 4A's elite. This is the first of several match-ups on this breakdown featuring two teams that come into this week with a perfect record. Ardmore has been absolutely dominant all season and look like one of the best teams in Class 4A football. They came into the season as a top five team and have played lights out week after week. Then you have a Chickasha team that was flying under the radar coming into this season, under first year head coach Steve Huff. They've found themselves in a few battles this season but they still come into this week's game with a perfect record. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/bishop-kelley-vs-del-city-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/bishop-kelley-vs-del-city-october-23-2026/">DEL CITY (5-2) AT BISHOP KELLEY (6-1)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>District 5A-3 will once again be the district that has Class 5A's game of the week as #4 Bishop Kelley will host #6 Del City on Friday night. The Comets are all by themselves on top of the district standings and they've won games in several different ways over the last month. With a win on Friday night, the Comets will all but lock up the district championship. Although in this district, there are no guarantees. For Del City, it's an opportunity to get back in the fight for that district title after dropping a tough game at Coweta a few weeks ago. The Eagles have played one of the more difficult schedules in Class 5A and that will hopefully pay off when they get into the playoffs. Winning the district title could help that playoff run. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/holdenville-vs-hartshorne-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/holdenville-vs-hartshorne-october-23-2026/">HARTSHORNE (7-0) AT HOLDENVILLE (7-0)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The game of the week in Class 2A-2 will take place in Holdenville as the top-ranked Wolverines will host #5 Hartshorne on Friday night. This is another game that features two teams with perfect records coming into this week. Holdenville took over the top spot in this class in September and it seems like they've only gotten stronger from there. The offense has been lighting up the scoreboard but the defense has also had seven shutout victories this year. This is a team that looks like a serious threat for the state title. Then you have a Hartshorne team that has definitely flown under the radar and that's clearly a mistake on our part. They come into this week with a perfect record and will look to take down the top-ranked Wolverines. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/metro-christian-vs-jones-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/metro-christian-vs-jones-october-23-2026/">JONES (6-1) AT METRO CHRISTIAN (6-1)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is the first of two 3A showdowns on this breakdown featuring top six teams in the 3A rankings. Top-ranked Jones goes on the road to face #4 Metro Christian on Friday night. Both teams suffered early season losses to some of 2A-1's best teams. Jones fell to Lincoln Christian while Metro lost to Cascia Hall. Both of those 2A-1 teams look like serious state title contenders. In addition to this being a marquee match-up that could decide the district title (although Berryhill will have something to say about that) this game features two of the best sophomore quarterbacks in the state. There's a chance they go wire to wire as the top two guys in the 2029 class and one will have a win over the other after Friday night.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/pawnee-vs-pawhuska-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/pawnee-vs-pawhuska-october-23-2026/">PAWHUSKA (7-0) AT PAWNEE (5-2)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In one of two major showdowns in Class A-1, we'll see Pawnee hosting an undefeated Pawhuska squad Friday night. Pawhuska has simply been perfect all season. After a rocky summer, and under a first year head coach, the Huskies have shown no weaknesses so far this season. Pawhuska will now be challenged again in a game that could decide the district title. Pawnee has been perfect in the last five weeks. They dropped their first two games but have won five straight, including scoring at least 60 points in the last three games. All signs point to this game deciding the district championship. It seems like it has the last two seasons. Pawnee dominated the 2024 meeting while Pawhuska won an instant classic last year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/holland-hall-vs-sperry-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/holland-hall-vs-sperry-october-23-2026/">SPERRY (5-1) AT HOLLAND HALL (5-2)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The game of the week in Class 2A-1 will see #7 Holland Hall hosting #9 Sperry in a game that will all but decide the district championship. The Dutch and Pirates come into this week's game with 4-0 records in district play with two game advantages on the next batch of teams in the district standings. Both teams tripped up against very tough non-district schedules but both teams entered district play expecting to contend for that district title. Both of these teams are flying under the radar in a top-heavy Class 2A-1 but the winner of this game is going to have a more favorable path in the playoffs. And both teams have plenty of winning tradition over the last decade to lean back on when they square off Friday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/kingston-vs-sulphur-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/kingston-vs-sulphur-october-23-2026/">SULPHUR (6-1) AT KINGSTON (7-0)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another Class 3A showdown featuring top six teams squaring off will see #2 Sulphur going on the road to face #6 Kingston on Friday night. Kingston has been perfect this season and they are one of several teams that have jumped up from Class 2A-1 and have made it look easy. The Redskins were a dominant team in the regular season the last few years in 2A-1, capturing district titles. Now, the competition gets a little tougher as they host a Sulphur team that is used to competing for state championships. The Bulldogs have been perfect against Oklahoma competition this season and are looking to make their third straight trip back to the 3A state championship game and that path could start with a win Friday. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/hobart-vs-thomas-fay-custer-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/hobart-vs-thomas-fay-custer-october-23-2026/">THOMAS (6-1) AT HOBART (5-1)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's the game of the week in Class A-2 as Hobart hosts Thomas in a match-up that will all but decide the district title. Both of these teams come in with only one loss and coincidentally, it came to Mangum back in non-district play. Both teams are 3-0 in district play and have been playing excellent football in the month of October. Thomas has been a top five team in this class from the very start while Hobart jumped into the top ten and has continued to climb the rankings and is knocking on the door of being a top five team. While the winner of this game will more than likely be the district champ, they'll also find themselves on the same side of the playoff bracket (more than likely) as defending champion Talihina. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/fairview-vs-tonkawa-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/fairview-vs-tonkawa-october-23-2026/">TONKAWA (7-0) AT FAIRVIEW (7-0)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In our opinion this is the game of the week across the state for week eight as top-ranked Tonkawa goes on the road to face #3 Fairview. Both teams are undefeated and both teams entered this season as true state championship contenders. And through the first two months of the season, nothing has changed that opinion. Both teams come into this week's match-up playing lights out football all season. That's going to make this one so much more interesting to follow on Friday night. Now, while it looks like the top game across the state, it's not going to decide the district title right away. Both teams still have games against a Crescent team that has won six straight and they've joined the conversation as contenders in this district. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>FIVE MORE GAMES TO FOLLOW</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/lincoln-christian-vs-checotah-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/lincoln-christian-vs-checotah-october-23-2026/">CHECOTAH (6-1) AT LINCOLN CHRISTIAN (6-1)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There's a match-up featuring top six teams in Class 2A-1 to pay attention to in Tulsa as top-ranked Lincoln Christian hosts #6 Checotah. The Wildcats head to Tulsa for the second straight week after beating Victory Christian last week. With a win on Friday night, Lincoln Christian will all but lock up the district title with head to head wins over the next three teams in the standings. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/union-vs-deer-creek-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/union-vs-deer-creek-october-23-2026/">DEER CREEK (4-3) AT UNION (3-4)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Deer Creek goes on the road to face Union in a match-up featuring two teams that have had very different 2026 seasons. Deer Creek started 3-0 but then dropped three straight games before snapping that skid against Enid last week. Then you have Union, who struggled out of the gate with an 0-4 start but they've won three straight and look completely different. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/yukon-vs-jenks-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/yukon-vs-jenks-october-23-2026/">JENKS (5-2) AT YUKON (6-2)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jenks goes on the road to face Yukon in another 6A-1 clash featuring top ten teams. For the Trojans, it's an opportunity to capture the district championship with a win. For the Millers, it's an opportunity to snap a two-game losing streak after losses to Union and Owasso. It's another east-west clash in 6A-1 and there will be plenty on the line Friday night. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/stillwater-vs-muskogee-october-22-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/stillwater-vs-muskogee-october-22-2026/">MUSKOGEE (5-2) AT STILLWATER (4-2) (THURSDAY)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Week eight kicks off with the top game in 6A-2 as top-ranked Stillwater will host #5 Muskogee on Thursday night. The Pioneers have looked dominant this season with the exception of the 6A-1 teams they faced. Muskogee has a knack for playing close games that don't get decided until late in the fourth quarter. The winner stays in the district title hunt. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/adair-vs-salina-october-23-2026/" data-type="link" data-id="https://prepredzone.com/game/ok/adair-vs-salina-october-23-2026/">SALINA (4-2) AT ADAIR (6-1)</a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While a lot of attention in 2A-2 will be on that unbeaten clash between Hartshorne and Holdenville, it's not the only featuring ranked teams. Adair hosts Salina in another major district showdown. Adair has been dominant, winning six straight. Salina will look to pull off the upset and throw a major wrench in a district that is one of the more competitive in the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
