Across the Upstate, there are a ton of WR duos who have set the early season on fire. There are gunslinging QBs across the area, and these guys are helping them shine.

Sometimes it's a difference in style of play, with a deep threat and a possession guy. Sometimes the guys look the same, and make defenses pick your poison. Sometimes, there are way more than two threats, but some guys just find a way to stand out.

Here's a look at 15 receivers (ok, we added an extra) and seven QBs who have played well early and who look to continue their impressive output.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821186' first='Tristian' last='Shell'] WR and [player_tooltip player_id='2163591' first='AJ' last='Bush'] WR, JL Mann - These two have quickly become the top targets for [player_tooltip player_id='1840061' first='Gage' last='Watkins'], who's thrown for 560 yards. Shell and Bush play a lot alike, and they're both reliable targets who have combined for 29 catches so far. Shell has more yards, Bush has more touchdowns, but they'll both be a huge part of what the Patriots are trying to do on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1817255' first='Leyton' last='Scott'] WR and Chase Wimpey WR, Easley - The Green Wave has put up a ton of yards and a ton of points in just two games, with [player_tooltip player_id='1817256' first='Whitley' last='Rodgers'] throwing for 711 yards in two contest. Scott is responsible for 258 of those yards and a pair of scores on 11 grabs, while Wimpey has 168 yards and three touchdowns on 15 catches. Scott's the high-average guy who's capable of getting loose at any time, while Wimpey is a possession receiver with plenty of speed himself.

[player_tooltip player_id='1149053' first='Luke' last='McCourry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1724433' first='Kadyn' last='Stevenson'] WR, Hillcrest - The Rams' schedule isn't doing them any favors early in the year, but keep an eye on these two as QB [player_tooltip player_id='1604046' first='Jackson' last='Free'] gets more and more comfortable. McCourry is a proven commodity, last year's leading receiver and the top guy already this season with 170 yards and two touchdowns. Stevenson has been almost identical - 166 yards and two touchdowns - while the two are almost even in catches, average per catch, and yards per game. They'll be counted on to take the tops off of defenses and allow Free to do what he does best - beat teams with his arm AND his legs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820877' first='Sam' last='Jennings'] and Noah Bagwell WR, Pendleton - Bulldogs QB Jaden Guess is another guy throwing it around at a high average, and Jennings and Bagwell are the beneficiaries of that. Jennings looks unquestionably like Guess' go-to guy - he's got 15 catches for 168 yards. Bagwell has a third of those catches, but he averages more than 21 yards a catch and has hauled in a touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822131' first='Keilon' last='Tucker'] (pictured) and [player_tooltip player_id='1819569' first='Taylor' last='Rogers'] WR, Chapman - Consider this about the Panthers: QB [player_tooltip player_id='2167554' first='Ashton' last='Moore'] has thrown for 385 yards, and he's done it in five quarters, as the Panthers had the fourth quarter rained out in their first game and had a running clock the entire second half in their second. Tucker's been the big target, with nine catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and he does a little bit of everything for the Panthers all over the field. Rogers is the physically bigger target - with five catches, 70 yards and a score - and he can use his body to create a mismatch for the Panthers anywhere on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822754' first='Desiray' last='Christian'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2249216' first='Keirion' last='Brown'] WR, Emerald - Here's where things start looking a little bit like a video game. Emerald QB [player_tooltip player_id='1467847' first='Beau' last='Hite'] has thrown for 607 yards and seven different Vikings have caught a pass. Christian is the leader, with more than 200 receiving yards. He's long, fast, and prone to making acrobatic catches look ordinary. Brown is a burner, and has 164 receiving yards, a 20-yard per catch average, and a touchdown. And we're going to bend the two-guy rule and sneak [player_tooltip player_id='1773739' first='Coleson' last='Marino'] in here. He's earned it with nine catches, 119 yards, and a team-high three receiving TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604037' first='Micah' last='McClintock'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1633095' first='Curtis' last='Bell'] Wr, Woodruff - There were a whole lot of questions about what Woodruff's offense was going to do in the unexpected absence of their leading returning rusher. We think we've found the answer. [player_tooltip player_id='1823657' first='Connor' last='Davis'] has thrown for almost 600 yards, and McClintock and Bell have been the key targets. All McClintock needs is the ball in space, and he's going to make something happen. Bell can run around you or by you, pick your poison. They've combined for 498 yards and have three touchdowns each, and they're going to present problems for a bunch of defenses.
