If you're looking to the future, the Palmetto State is in excellent hands.

Today, we pull the curtain back on that future.

The initial Prep RedZone South Carolina Class of 2030 rankings is about as exclusive of a group as you'll find. We only included 25 players in the entire state.

These are current freshmen who have not only showed immense promise for the entirety of their careers, but they're producing now. The list is raw, much like the description we'd attach to some of their talent levels.

And it will expand; our senior class is just shy of 600 players. But it has to start somewhere. And these 25 are the ones we've decided with ignite the charge for years to come.

Our third batch of introductions includes a gun-slinging quarterback whose head coach knows a little about that, an interior lineman cutting his teeth in the trenches and making it count, a linebacker who ultimately may develop into a standout receiver, a do-it-all-type who pretty much already has and linebacker with a penchant for big plays.

No. 15: [player_tooltip player_id='2400870' first='Brooks' last='Treble'] QB, Nation Ford

It took just two full games for Nation Ford to rip the Band-Aid off and insert its rookie quarterback into the rotation. In his first game, the Falcons weren't pleased with every aspect of his varsity debut (Treble threw two interceptions), but 358 passing yards and three touchdowns were pretty darn good, too.

Treble's next two games were a mixed bag, but in the coaches' minds, they'd rather him learn on the go in real time than spend time on the sideline watching or dominating on Thursdays. Treble has a great build at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds and brings in tons of arm strength along for the ride.

Nation Ford coach Jake Bentley: “Brooks is super talented. He is able to process information well, even as a freshman. He has a calm presence about him that allows him to respond the right way to adversity. He will continue to grow and excited about his future.”

No. 14: [player_tooltip player_id='2401252' first='Jose' last='Chavez'] OL, Hardeeville

We'll freely admit that we noticed the three skill guys on Hardeeville's roster who also made this list long before Chavez started to get our attention. But in evaluating his teammates' offensive film, we kept noticing the Hurricanes' center holding his own both as a run and pass blocker. Chavez's low base allows him to win the leverage game.

Chavez will likely shift back and forth between center and guard over the next few years, and barring a massive vertical jump, he's going to have an advantage at the point of contact. He's used to giving up size from his time on the wrestling mat (where he is in the heavyweight group), so the contact doesn't bother him one bit.

Hardeeville coach Arthur Gardner: “Great lower body strength. Can play center or guard. Has a great IQ on the line of scrimmage. Great run stuffer on defense. Quick off the ball on defense as well. Phenomenal worker on and off the field. Missed 0 days of summer workouts. Has kicking experience as well. Great team player. Future college prospect. He also wrestles, plays baseball and soccer.”

No. 13: [player_tooltip player_id='2341376' first='Ashton' last='Wilson'] LB/WR, Hartsville (pictured)

In the near future, when the Red Foxes need another receiver, don't be shocked to see the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Wilson lining up on the outside giving Hartsville's quarterback a big target. While we haven't seen it in action, the staff contends he might be a better offensive player than he already has shown on defense. That's saying a lot.

The rangy Wilson put up 16 tackles in the team's first three games of 2026 (Hartsville had a game scrapped due to weather) and he's already locked down a starting spot at linebacker that will be hard for him to lose. His physical traits, paired with his understanding of the scheme, is all coming together nicely.

Hartsville coach Jeff Calabrese: “Ashton is a young man with great character and work ethic. He improves every day and has the drive to be great. We have been so pleased with his progress and look forward to his future.”

No. 12: [player_tooltip player_id='2400898' first='Keyuhn' last='Montgomery'] ATH, Buford

Montgomery is quickly developing into one of the most diversified stat-stuffing freshmen in the state. Take a look at some of his numbers through five games and decide for yourself: 30-of-44 passing for 444 yards and two touchdowns; 33 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns rushing; six tackles on defense; two kickoff returns for another 37 yards.

Again, those are all coming early in his career. What's more, his offensive position is roughly one year in the making. He wasn't even playing Buford's version of the quarterback position until into his eighth grade year. And if you've seen him live like we have, you know his numbers don't even accurate depict his impact on this squad.

Buford coach Joe Watson: “Keyuhn has so much upside. He is still young in his football career. He has only been playing a short time. He was a receiver his seventh grade year and then moved to quarterback as an eighth grader. He is an all-purpose athlete who can excel anywhere you put him on the field.”

No. 11: [player_tooltip player_id='2401248' first='Travon' last='Harris'] LB, Hardeeville

The range that Harris brings to the Hurricane defense has to be become a priority for opposing coordinators sooner rather than later. But that's easier said that done. From one snap to the next, he can switch from a traditionally set middle linebacker five yards off the line to an edge defender standing hip to hip with the end.

Against St. Andrew's alone (film below), he put up eight tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack and a half. Before that point, he'd also broken up a pass, pressured a quarterback or two and put up a few more tackles. It's been a quality first look for him and Hardeeville as a whole.

Hardeeville coach Arthur Gardner: “[Harris] plays all over the field for us. Has a great burst off the edge. Takes on blocks well. Capable of playing inside if we get in our speed rush package. Can also play in space. Offensively has the build as TE but just enough speed to play RB if needed. Future college prospect. Ultimate team player. Has played offensive line when called upon.”
