FORT MILL | An interception on the second play of the game gave the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets all the momentum they needed on the way to a 43-7 win over the Nation Ford Falcons.

That momentum carried over to the offensive side of the ball and from there, it was [player_tooltip player_id='1266099' first='Broden' last='Mitcheson'] and Aiden Ohara that carried the load offensively. Mitcheson (pictured above) carried 14 times for 143 yards with two touchdowns. Ohara also carried 14 times, totaling 153 yards and two touchdowns. Mitcheson and Ohara each knew that they would be heavily involved in the gameplan and they delivered.

"I knew the coaches trusted me and I wanted to make sure to prove them right," Mitcheson said. "It felt good to be productive and have a good game for our team."

"Broden set the tone for us first and it was up to me to follow behind him and perform well," Ohara added.

It wasn't just the run game, though, that helped Fort Mill's offense be so successful. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='2075873' first='Harper' last='Love'] was efficient, completing 7-of-13 passes for 137 yards with two touchdowns. He carried just once, but it was for 30 yards and set up a touchdown. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1671057' first='Brody' last='Ranucci'] also made an appearance at quarterback, completing three passes for nine yards.

Other Fort Mill Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1648649' first='Jerrell' last='Douglas'] WR/DB, 2028 - It was Terrell that intercepted the second pass of the game. He was impactful on offense as well, collecting two catches for 42 yards with a touchdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820446' first='Jameson' last='Terrell'] WR, 2027 - Terrell was the first man to get in the endzone for Fort Mill with a 30-yard receiving touchdown, his only catch of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2076264' first='Greyson' last='Love'] WR/DB, 2029 - Despite having just one catch, Love led the team in receiving yards with 43. He had a nice catch-and-run down to the one-yard line that set up an Ohana touchdown.

Patrick Gray RB/LB, 2028 - Gray was in on several tackles throughout the evening and also forced a safety by shedding a block and disrupting a play in the backfield.

Aiden Welch LB/TE, 2028 - Welch was also disruptive in the backfield, collecting several tackles for loss as well as multiple sacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821816' first='Smith' last='Stapleton'] DL/TE, 2027 - Stapleton made one of the biggest plays of the game in the early going, breaking up what was nearly a perfectly executed fake punt. He also collected a sack and a tackle for loss.

Nation Ford Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1818101' first='Banks' last='Demby'] RB, 2028 - Demby was efficient when used, carrying seven times for 35 yards. His usage decrease early in the game was odd, as he had several broken tackles and powerful runs in the early part of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1824013' first='James' last='Thames'] RB/LB, 2028 - Thames had the second most carries on the team, carrying four times for 34 yards. He was also excellent at breaking through arm tackles and getting extra yards when he could.

JD Edley WR/LB, 2028 - Edley had the biggest play of the night, hauling in a 50-yard receiving touchdown. That was one of his four catches on the night, and he was also effective at linebacker with several tackles.

Micah Gadsden CB/WR, 2028 - Gadsden was responsible for the lone turnover forced by the Nation Ford defense with an interception early in the second half.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400870' first='Brooks' last='Treble'] QB, 2030 - Treble struggled early, but settled in nicely in the second half. He totaled 124 passing yards and a touchdown, along with three carries for 22 yards. He showcased an excellent arm with the ability to be accurate both on short and deep routes.

We mentioned Ohara and his excellent night above, but now we can get into what made him so efficient.

Ohara's downhill speed is electric and allows him to get to the second level of defense before anyone realizes what's happening.

Once he gets into the open field, you aren't catching him, as his speed is a bit surprising. He's extremely powerful as well, something that allows him to fight through tackles and get extra yardage. He's an excellent second option behind Mitcheson and can take over a game at any point.
