He's flown under the radar, despite being wildly productive to start the season against a difficult schedule. While he usually plays defensive end in a 3-4 system, we've seen Moore as an edge rusher and a three-technique in even fronts, too. He has massive lower-body power, which lets him stand up offensive linemen and shed blocks. Most impressively, he's flashing as a pass rusher, too. If his start to the season wasn't impressive enough, he had a massive game against Southeast Raleigh's star-studded offensive line, forcing a fumble, recovering another, and racking up multiple tackles for loss. Grady does it all, and his combination of size, strength, and speed is simply unfair. He has the movement skills to play at the college level as one of the best 8-man players in the state. We like him most as a middle linebacker, though as a senior he's shown some really impressive pass-rushing moves as an edge rusher. He not only consistently nails his run fits and reads, but he rarely misses tackles when he gets there. He wraps up well, and drives through to finish tackles. This year, he's improved in pass coverage, as he gets good depth on his middle-field drops and has the quickness to break on the ball. He could play some in the slot or at safety at the next level. Against Hillsborough, he racked up three tackles, all run stops. Though he's a bit smaller than the average edge rusher, he has impressive play strength, and he's shown the ability to stack up offensive linemen to allow his linebackers to make plays. He does a great job of engaging blockers while still keeping his head up so he can make plays. I think we'll see more of him on the varsity squad down the stretch. His cuts are crisp, and he has speed to break away from man coverage. He operates well out of the slot. His ball-tracking skills have been on full display this year as he's made a few twisting catches down the field.
