Here are Five More New Additions to the list:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2255905' first='Aidan' last='Ortiz'], Lovington</strong>: Going into his sophomore season, Ortiz has already made quite an impression on the Lovington coaches, including head coach Josh Bailey, who described Ortiz as ‘awesome,' &nbsp;a ‘phenom' and ‘big, strong and fast.' He gained 174 yards on just 15 carries as a freshman in 2025, averaging over 11 yards per carry. If Ortiz stays healthy, watch out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2256645' first='Debrice' last='Ashung'], Roswell</strong>: Ashung is new to football after playing soccer for the Roswell varsity last fall. He has good size (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) and made an immediate impact during spring practice, rushing for 142 yards and 2 TD on just 9 carries in the Coyotes' spring game. If Ashung posts similar numbers when the regular season starts, the Coyotes could have the most dynamic RB duo in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2256642' first='Dante' last='Diaz'], Mayfield</strong>: New Mayfield head coach Joseph Frias fully expects Diaz to make an immediate impact for the Trojans this season in the interior of the defensive line. Diaz has good size (6-0, 260 pounds) and incredible strength. Just a sophomore, he already squats over 500 pounds. He'll be the nose tackle when the Trojans utilize a 3-4 alignment. Mayfield's defensive front seven could be stout. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2255876' first='Bradan' last='Dunlap'], Hobbs</strong>: Right now, the 6-foot-3 Dunlap is competing for the backup QB job on the Eagles. But he's such a tremendous athlete (excels in 3 sports) that Hobbs head coach Ken Stevens said they will find a spot to get him on the field. You don't often hear coaches say that about a rising sophomore. Look for him to see significant action at wide receiver this season. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2256664' first='Cayden' last='Williams'], Bernalillo</strong>: The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Williams&nbsp; will be part of a ‘three-headed monster' at running back for Bernalillo. With his size, he could be Bernalillo's bruiser at RB. He has nice speed (competes in track in the 100 and on the Spartans' 4x100 relay team) and good strength (competesd as powerlifter).
