He has the size (6'5") and athleticism you want from an offensive tackle. He is a little raw with his ability, but the sky's the limit. His ability to extend his arms allows him to block defenders on the edge. He also shows a solid ability to run block. Smith has only played football for 3 years, so he is a little inexperienced, but the ability is there. I expect him to have a strong Senior season for Ridley.

First Year Starting 3rd yr playing
MID SEASON HIGHLIGHTS@EdOBrienCFB @EPAFootball @Nxt_level_ath @OJW_Scouting @JMUFBRecruiting @CoachCamWeeks @247recruiting @PRZVicCastillo @PlayBookAthlete @EZoneRecruiting @PAPrepVarsity @delcotimes @footballcoach79 @Rivals_HS @MaxPreps pic.twitter.com/V7NHdLYu53
— [player_tooltip player_id='1398242' first='Cooper' last='Smith'] (@CooperSmith70) October 29, 2025

Vaughn Halverson is an excellent center for Blue Mountain. His ability to snap the ball and block defensive linemen is impressive. He is especially good at dominating defensive tackles by turning them to create rushing lanes. If a defensive lineman tries to shoot the gaps, he is really good at blocking them. He also shows a good ability to move his feet to stay in front of pass rushers. Then, on defense, he shows a good ability as a defensive tackle to be a run stuffer. Halverson recently picked up his 1st offer from Wagner. It probably won't be his last offer.

After a great camp, I'm incredibly blessed and honored to receive my first Division I offer from @Wagner_Football to continue my academic and athletic career!

Thank you to the entire Wagner coaching staff for believing in me and for this opportunity. He is excellent at firing off the ball and turning defensive linemen, so the offense could run the ball behind him. Then, as a defensive tackle, he is hard to move off his spot.
