Team Preview - Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes

After finishing 7-4 overall and 6-2 in district play in 2025, the Hightower Hurricanes enter the 2026 season with high expectations and one of their most experienced rosters in recent years. Returning 6 starters on offense and 7 on defense, along with 15 lettermen, the Hurricanes are positioned to build on last season's success. While Hightower must adjust to a new offensive scheme, Head Coach Anthony believes the team's experience across the roster, especially along the offensive and defensive fronts, provides a strong foundation heading into the new season.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   The Hurricanes return plenty of firepower, led by transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1244459' first='Carson' last='White'], one of the area's top quarterbacks. The Oklahoma State-commit accounted for over 2,600 total yards last season, throwing for 1,963 yards and 32 touchdowns while adding 678 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. One of his top weapons will be explosive playmaker Kentrell Mosley, who totaled 561 all-purpose yards and scored 8 touchdowns in 2025. With over 300 yards receiving, 2 touchdowns, and a strong showing in 7v7 this summer, Reeves will be involved in a strong pass game. Leading the way is Cornelius "Champ" Anthony, who posted 75 tackles, 12 TFLs, 3 sacks, and 3 PBUs while establishing himself as one of the area's top STAR defenders. Up front, [player_tooltip player_id='1904001' first='Christopher' last='Carroll'] returns after recording 34 tackles, 10 TFLs. and 3.5 sacks, while Tomi Ajao, a Harvard commit, brings another disruptive presence off the edge after finishing with 50 tackles, 20 pressures, 16 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and 4 PBUs.
