NMMI 7×7 Tourney: Pool Play (Video/Recap)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>ROSWELL –</strong> New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) hosted its annual 7x7 Tournament and Big Man Challenge on Friday under sunny skies. Temperatures were in the low 80's when pool play began at 9 a.m. before soaring into the low 100s by early afternoon. Based on how they performed in pool play, all teams were seeded for bracket single elimination in the afternoon. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In all, 19 varsity teams showed up to compete along with numerous JV and freshmen teams. Bracket B (16 Teams) consisted of every 3A and 2A varsity team, 8-man Hagerman and&nbsp; eight JV teams. The C Division (12 teams) consisted of 8-Man Tatum, 6-Man Grady and an assortment of &nbsp;JV and freshmen teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Doing the math, 47 different teams competed on 10 different fields in Friday's day-long event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always, the quarterbacks are the stars of the show in 7x7 and several shined on Friday.
