Louisiana 2029 initial rankings countdown: Nos. 50-41

Prep Redzone Louisiana continued its latest rankings update this past week with its first list for the 2029 class — released Wednesday — ahead of the group's upcoming sophomore year.   As part of the update release, we will look at the top 50 prospects in more detail, including some already-familiar faces and names even so early in the development of the cohort.   Here's a look at Nos. 50-41,   No. 50 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244059' first='Jordan' last='Culotta'] — 5-9, 160 WR — Catholic-Baton Rouge   The son of local media personality Jordy Culotta will quickly be a familiar name to many Baton Rouge fans, but may also waste little time making an individual name for himself as well with expectations he'll crack into the Catholic lineup this fall as a sophomore. The younger Culotta is a quick and confident weapon capable of creating separation and making tough, contested catches alike.   No. 49 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244078' first='Jacque' last='Robichaux'] — 6-3, 290 OL — Catholic-Baton Rouge   and No. 48 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244061' first='Hunter' last='Jarreau'] — 6-4, 260 OL — Catholic-Baton Rouge   Another pair of Bears, Robichaux and Jarreau look early to be two of the next up-and-coming offensive line prospects to watch at a program with a proud tradition of producing at the position. The stouter Robichaux may have been one of the more technically sound linemen early on in the development of a class with some promising young athletes in the trenches. Jarreau meanwhile already possesses great length to be a potential next-level tackle and has been diligent throughout the offseason working on his footwork to go along with the intriguing physical traits.   No. 47 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244060' first='Kenya' last='Jones'] — 5-9, 150 WR — Jena   The Giants are fresh off their first title appearance in program history and have more talent on the rise as they now work to establish that breakthrough into a more consistent benchmark and potentially a championship sooner than later. Among the next names to know is the speedy wide receiver and versatile, three-phase athlete whose 4.53-second 40-yard dash and 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump that speak to his elite athleticism at his age.   No. 46 — [player_tooltip player_id='2168028' first='Preston' last='Pellerin'] — 6-0, 185 QB — St. Thomas More   The Cougars' young quarterback is one the 2029 prospects who has already been spotlighted on PRZLA on multiple occasions with some of his performances in 7-on-7 and camp settings. The lefty possesses a strong arm, quick release and good athleticism at the position, carries himself with confidence and has shown notable physical development during the past year in terms of both his height and his solid build to weather the physicality of the game both in the pocket or when making plays with his legs.   No. 45 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244063' first='Nathaniel' last='Nicholson Jr.'] 6-3, 260 OL — Riverside Academy   Another young offensive lineman from a program with a strong track record in the trenches, Nicholson already has loads of intriguing film at right tackle for the Division-IV Select champions. Nicholson's listed measurables already check the boxes college coaches eye, and he moves well with quick feet and good balance that already make him a prospect to watch at the position in the years ahead.   No. 44 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244074' first='Rush' last='Wilson'] — 5-11, 195 LB — Wossman   The Wildcats' versatile linebacker has good measurables at the position at his age in terms of not only height, weight and wingspan, but also some 40-yard and shuttle testing numbers that his early film backs up with his quickness slipping by blockers and closing speed to get to opposing passers and ball-carriers for disruptive, hard-hitting plays near and behind the line.   No. 43 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244039' first='Dan' last='Evans Jr.'] — 5-10, 170 DB — Neville   The secondary is one of the areas of most notable roster turnover for the title-minded Tigers, and the speedy young cornerback already with some notable varsity experience under is belt is among the reasons for confidence. Evans broke into the lineup some this past fall as a freshman and finished the season with 19 tackles and two interceptions.   No. 42 — [player_tooltip player_id='2244042' first='K.J.' last='Bell'] — 5-11, 165 WR/ATH — Mangham   We haven't had a chance to see much of the Dragons' speedy young wide receiver yet, but the brief early film available and notable pedigree are both intriguing. The son of former four-star Alabama signee Kenny Bell has flashed big-play explosiveness with the ability to take quick passes, make defenders miss and be gone to the house in a hurry once loose on the outside.   No. 41 — [player_tooltip player_id='2230601' first='DaMichael' last='Hart'] — 5-9, 150 DB/WR — Catholic-Pointe Coupee   Hart has been on the PRZLA radar probably as long as any prospect in this segment of the countdown and also boasts some of the biggest early production in the class with his 1,000-yard freshman campaign as a wide receiver, versatile all-around weapon and three-phase athlete. Hart also stood out this summer at LSU camp where he worked more at defensive back.
