Jacksonville Ed White Will Be A Major Force This Season

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When Jacksonville's Ed White football program won six of the first seven games, there was a feeling that this could be the season where the Commanders would take things deep into the playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Capturing the district title, head coach <strong>Lawrence Johnson</strong> and his team would beat Pensacola Pine Forest in the opening round of the state playoffs. But Round 2 proved to be too much as the powerhouse St. Augustine Yellow Jackets brought an end to the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While that loss was something that has motivated this program in the off season, the memory of a 9-3 year was something that all the returning players and coaches used to build on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Among the returning prospects to keep an eye on include seniors <strong>King Boylston</strong> (QB), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1707658' first='Johnny' last='Duckett'] </strong>(DT) and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2168178' first='Mark' last='Shiloh']</strong> (DE/OLB) will lead the way. There are juniors King Mercer (WR), <strong>Rontrez Loyd Jr.</strong> (RB) and <strong>Markus Jones</strong> (LB) who will be huge.
