As a Iowa Falls-Alden junior, he caught 26 passes for 382 yards and two touchdowns, and recorded 18.5 tackles with five passes defended. The first few clips of his 11th-grade highlight video feature Pieper flashing upside as a weapon in the red zone. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder with a lot of projection for his frame utilizes long arms, leaping ability and a large catch radius to overwhelm defenders on fades. He runs crisp routes and offers straight-line speed. It's a set of skills that would work well at safety or a hybrid linebacker spot, too.   Pieper attended a Drake junior day in April. He's also heard from North Dakota State, Coe and Upper Iowa. There's plenty of upside here for colleges to develop. While Pudenz skill set is built for run blocking, he's agile with smooth footwork, aiding him in being effective in pass protection. While he's more college ready than many of his peers, physical and football development remain, adding to the attractiveness of this prospect. He's well put together for his age with a chance to add mass and strength in a college conditioning program. His movements are fluid and powerful. There's athleticism and agility.   Grand View came through with Rankin's first opportunity to play college football when the Vikings did so on June 22. A strong senior campaign on the field and posting more film publicly for college coaches to view will increase interest in Rankin. The ability is there for a successful career on the next level.
