Dozens of Louisiana's top-ranked 2027 prospects have announced college commitments already, but the several legitimate Division-I prospects around the always-talented state remain available on the recruiting market entering senior year.

With August fast approaching, Prep Redzone Louisiana will look at a few of the most notable uncommitted prospects at each position that programs should take a closer look heading into the fall for potential steals in the final month of the cycle.

Here are a half-dozen wide receivers to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2228466' first='Derrick' last='Bennett Jr.'] — 5-10, 165 WR — St. Augustine

As consistently noted here, the Purple Knights' talent at wide receiver extends well past their pair of top-20 prospects now committed to Ole Miss and Tulane. Fans, media and arguably some college coaches can't be reminded enough of the depth of the position group. And Bennett is a prime example after a 40-catch, 671-yard junior campaign that included the game-winning touchdown in the semifinals and a team-high four receptions in the state title game. Bennett is quick and crafty with field-stretching speed, great hands and the timing and toughness to play bigger at times than his measurables. Nicholls State, McNeese State, Tarleton State and Alabama State have been among his offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='934589' first='Collin' last='DiBetta'] — 5-11, 175 WR/ATH — Acadiana

DiBetta showed his competitive, team-first and even throwback mentality this past fall with his tackling of roles all over the field and in all three phases. But he projects most clearly as a slot receiver, where he may be the state's best remaining available on the market. He is tough as nails, has shown the ability to stretch the field vertically and is among the state's top route-runners and most reliable hands with the ability to consistently create separation and haul in just about everything thrown his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='934574' first='Hendrix' last='Hill'] — 6-0, 185 WR/ATH — Isidore Newman

Another highly versatile prospect in addition to his high potential at wide receiver specifically, Hill initially earned his PRZLA ranking after intriguing flashes as a young running back before developing into one of the Greenies' top receiving weapons and also a standout return man and defensive back. The son of former LSU and NFL linebacker Eric Hill stood out early with his quickness and speed to get loose across or deep down the field, but didn't take long to start adding tough catches through contact to his highlight reel. And he's never slowed down rounding and showcasing his game, including bulking up about 15 pounds during the past year and running 40-yard dashes in the 4.4-second range this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610147' first='Ethan' last='Kimmie'] — 6-4, 190 WR — Zachary

The Broncos' multisport star has developed from a raw, but intriguing young athlete who was standing out more consistently on the basketball court than the football field to being one of Louisiana's most sought-after prospects and now one of its top remaining available recruits. Kimmie's long frame and ball skills have always stood out, but he's gotten notably bigger and stronger and more effective creating separation with his route-running. He boasts one of the longest offer lists in the class, including Florida State in May as the latest of several Power-Four programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1801278' first='KeShun' last='Malcolm'] — 6-5, 175 WR — Ruston

Malcolm has been known primarily for his standout basketball talent throughout his career, but now focused on football heading into the fall and healthy after an injury sidelined him for a chunk of the offseason, he has a chance to be one of the major breakout candidates and sleeper prospects as a senior with his long frame and athleticism. The Bearcats have a second-year starter at quarterback and a loaded cast of weapons that includes an LSU-committed tight end and Houston-committed wide receiver. That duo should command the bulk of the targets, but also the bulk of the defensive attention, so Malcolm should have some opportunities to showcase his raw, but promising potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250280' first='Ryan' last='Moore Jr.'] — 5-10, 160 ATH/WR — East Feliciana

The Tigers' three-phase star may be the smallest athlete on this list, but he also may be as versatile and dynamic as any as well. "Bug" has been a top receiver, defensive back and return weapon his entire career, including more than 2,000 all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdowns and 70 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior. While his size has limited some of his recruitment (particularly in the tougher-than-ever modern NCAA era), he consistently proves himself one of Louisiana's top playmakers as a wide receiver and in any capacity in which he's called.

Dozens of Louisiana's top-ranked 2027 prospects have announced college commitments already, but the several legitimate Division-I prospects around the always-talented state remain available on the recruiting market entering senior year.
