Washington 4A Preseason All State 1st + 2nd Team "D"

Per usual, the Preseason All-State teams will be heavily influenced by projected team success and not just recruitment of the player. If your team doesn't win, it will be extremely difficult to earn all state accolades. If you are an individual who racks up all state honors even without your program winning, that's an impressive feat. Julius Hernandez Avila returns after earning SPSL D lineman of the year honors last season, with [player_tooltip player_id='928141' first='MJ' last='Wadley'] making the transfer from Yelm to GK, and looking great over the offseason.   [player_tooltip player_id='1188123' first='Ty' last='Tautolo'] is one of the most recruited athletes in the West with offers from the likes of USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Washington. His 90 tackles and 6 sacks were a big reason Lake Stevens made a run to the state title game in 2025. Underclassmen Kitiona Tapua out of Puyallup is right there with him from a recruitment standpoint already garnering major offers after his freshman season from Texas, Washington, TCU, Texas A/M, and Utah + others.    Closing out the D line group [player_tooltip player_id='2065191' first='JayLinn' last='Haywood'] earned MVP honors at the NW Showcase, the largest event on the west coast. Mount Si's [player_tooltip player_id='1555731' first='Jason' last='Armbruster'] has one of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the region and hasn't been stopped on the camp circuit the last few months.    Last but definitely not least [player_tooltip player_id='1727670' first='Max' last='Bridges'] of Glacier Peak who had an unreal junior year with 44 tackles and 18 sacks. Statistically, there were few that were better statewide.    At the LB spot I'm a broken record when it comes to [player_tooltip player_id='1188110' first='Michael' last='Pulalasi'] of Puyallup as I would consider him the Washington 4A POY favorite on the defensive side of the ball. If Eastern Washington can keep his commitment, he could go down as the best defender EVER to play at the school. He's that good.    The 6-3 245-pound Edge/OLB [player_tooltip player_id='1969805' first='Gray' last='Longoria'] had double digit D1 offers and won multiple state titles at Sumner before committing to UNLV. The Rebels have to be stoked landing the SPSL Player of the Year. Very similar to him is 6-4 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1568794' first='Drenden' last='Knaevelsrud'] who committed to San Diego St and will battle Longoria in college. It will be up to him and Armbruster to get things turned around at Mount Si.    You can expect [player_tooltip player_id='1368341' first='Derick' last='Manibusan'] of GK to be in the conference and state POY conversation. When all is said and done he could hold multiple school records already playing in 37 varsity ball games since his freshman season with 216 total tackles.    Speaking of Graham Kapowsin they have an unreal secondary with a handful of 1st or 2nd team all-state projected DB's. [player_tooltip player_id='1792192' first='Raymond' last='Preston Lagat']'s stock is rising quickly with [player_tooltip player_id='937738' first='Kase' last='Betz'] doing his thing on the defensive side of the ball as well, making 58 tackles with an INT as a junior.  UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='928074' first='Maurice' last='Williams'] ranks as one of the top corners on the west coast and makes the move back to Timberline HS from GK for his senior season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1615830' first='Cooper' last='Cissne'] has been lights out since his freshman year when he earned 1st team all-conference honors at Chiawana. He racked up 1st team all-state accolades last season. This will be a big year for [player_tooltip player_id='1530872' first='Jordan' last='Noel'] at Kennedy Catholic as well with offers from the likes of Oregon St and New Mexico.    To me [player_tooltip player_id='984781' first='Markel' last='Newell'] is a 4* Safety and potentially one of the best DB's ever to come out of Washington. The Budda Baker comparisons aren't crazy. [player_tooltip player_id='985355' first='Amosa' last='Masaniai'] of Emerald Ridge is another 28' who is super legit. The 1st team all-conference safety can play the WLB spot and might project there. He has recently added offers from the likes of Boise St and FCS national champion Montana St.
