Morris looked good as a freshman and was solid throughout his 6 games of action. He took care of the football well and didn't turn it over much, which is impressive for a younger quarterback. He showed good accuracy and ball placement and flashed the ability to throw with anticipation rather than waiting for receivers to come open. He finished with 1,166 passing yards and 15 TDs, putting together a strong foundation in year one. I think he's set up well to take over as the full-time starter in year two and continue building on that momentum.

Bates got some work as a freshman last year and showed some encouraging traits. He understands how to set his feet in the pocket and doesn't hold onto the ball too long, which helps keep the offense on schedule. He's comfortable throwing on the move to his right and has good length to see over the line and locate passing windows. There's still development ahead, but the foundation is there. He strikes me as a quarterback who should develop nicely with more reps and experience.

Parento is a multi-sport athlete, and you can clearly see the pitching background come through on the football field. It may be tough to get him off the baseball diamond long term, but the potential on the football field is obvious. He throws a good ball, makes quick decisions, and gets it out with a quick release. He also does a nice job balancing touch and velocity depending on the throw. I feel like the natural arm talent and athletic background give him a pretty intriguing ceiling at quarterback.

Armstrong looked more confident as he continued to get reps and settled into his role. He brings good speed and was used as a dual-threat option, showing the ability to make plays with both his arm and legs. He also returned a punt for a TD, which speaks to the kind of athlete he is in space. He seems to find success wherever he lines up because he's such a naturally gifted athlete. I think the confidence growth was one of the more encouraging parts of his development, and there's still plenty of upside there.
