COLUMBIA | The Prep Redzone Exposure Showcase at Richland Northeast HS on Friday night gave us an opportunity to see some talent on the offensive line. All of the guys have good size on them and on the offensive line, they did a good job of handling the competition and winning their one-on-one battles.

Here's a look at some of what we saw:

[player_tooltip player_id='1819522' first='Cooper' last='Zeigler'] (pictured above) from Sumter made a good first step moving on a zone right run scheme. He made good use of his hands as well to bring the physicality that you love to see from the position at 6-foot-3. He did a good job last year for the Gamecocks of not allowing the defensive line to get penetration into the backfield and was aggressive from the snap of the ball. He knows how to move guys to get defensive linemen out of position.

Newberry's [player_tooltip player_id='2210839' first='Anthony' last='McDowell'] at 6-feet, moves quick for a guy his size on the offensive line, and he was quick going from end-to-end in the pro shuttle. [player_tooltip player_id='2213825' first='Elijah' last='Warren'] from Spring Valley made a good pull block to his left and he moved quickly with a sense of urgency to create a lane in the run game. Hank Olds from Chapin moved quickly on a block to his left, showing good body control and ability to attack the line of scrimmage.

With a 74.5 inch wingspan and 10-inch handsize, Olds' teammate at Chapin, [player_tooltip player_id='1824391' first='Grady' last='Meetze'] has the physical makeup you need to be successful up front. He can play right tackle and right guard and he's effective in pass protection, as he didn't allow much penetration into the backfield as a sophomore. He'll have a chance to come into his own more with new coach Cory Helms taking over.
