That said as West Linn should be considered the overwhelming favorite to win next year's state title behind All American [player_tooltip player_id='632957' first='Josiah' last='Molden'], reigning TRL POY [player_tooltip player_id='937233' first='Sloan' last='Baker'], and a plethora of talent that has rarely lost growing up.

#9 Lakeridge @ #8 Grants Pass GP 44 Lakeridge 43

This is the year for GP behind the three headed monster that is [player_tooltip player_id='796694' first='Jordan' last='Rossetta'], POY [player_tooltip player_id='1560665' first='Brevik' last='Hill'], and RB [player_tooltip player_id='1569379' first='Treyton' last='Powers']. They did a phenomenal job as a team last year winning a 1st round playoff game at Sherwood. Look for them to squeak by a Lakeridge team that graduates 35 seniors in a game with very little defense.

#12 Sherwood @ #5 Nelson Nelson 29 Sherwood 12

The Bowmen don't necessarily have a bunch of big-time recruits, but they do have one of the best overall programs in Oregon. They will likely win the Pacific Conference again and run into a Nelson team that graduates a bunch of dudes, and is maybe the most impressive group outside of West Linn from the youth on up. I expect them to win the Mt Hood.

#13 Westview @ #4 Willamette Willamette 42 Westview 17

Westview is the largest 6A school in the state, and they do have some legit talent returning. Willamette is now a feeder school for the University of Oregon and other D1 programs and should compete every year for a state title. [player_tooltip player_id='904208' first='Zeke' last='Thomas'], [player_tooltip player_id='791149' first='Kawai' last='Chamberlin'], and [player_tooltip player_id='937281' first='Tripp' last='Johansen'] are all elite prospects and class kids.

#11 Mountainside @ #6 Central Catholic CC 26 Mountainside 14

The loss of Oregon 6A Lineman of the Year favorite [player_tooltip player_id='937240' first='Isaiah' last='Ormond'] to Tualatin hurts, along with the graduation of all everything QB Cade Mitchell. That said you really have to like RB's [player_tooltip player_id='1125493' first='Reece' last='Ballew'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1076647' first='Kade' last='Laraway'], along with LB [player_tooltip player_id='2054683' first='Toren' last='Drucker'] and some other young talent.

Central is reloading to an extent and the line will be a strength for the Rams with top recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1654734' first='PJ' last='Tautu'] and [player_tooltip player_id='936855' first='Nate' last='Peau'] leading.

#14 Glencoe @ #3 Lake Oswego LO 49 Glencoe 13

Glencoe coach Ian Reynoso is hands down one of the best in the NW. What he gets out of his athletes on a yearly basis is consistently more than he should. The reigning state champs out of Lake O do lose a lot, but Steve Coury is a 1st ballot Hall of Fame guy if we are talking coaches, and the Lakers will once again compete for a 6A title.

#10 Oregon City @ #7 Jesuit OC 22 Jesuit 20

OC has talent everywhere and it's time for them to put it all together behind top 10 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1242623' first='Cavan' last='Rogers'] and state's fastest man in [player_tooltip player_id='935448' first='Colin' last='Smith']. The Crusaders always have guys, but the changes are plentiful including a new head coach for the first time in decades. I'm calling upset.

#15 Lincoln @ #2 Tualatin Tual 55 Lincoln 7

I've talked about the Tualatin program at length over the last few months. If they can get good QB play they have a legit shot at winning the 6A title, especially with some of the line additions. I actually really like next years Lincoln team as well, but the PIL should be allowed to play 5A ball in my opinion. I don't know how much more proof you need considering what has happened come playoff time for the last couple decades.

QUARTERFINALS

#8 Grants Pass @ #1 West Linn WL 51 Grants Pass 10

I think new head coach Anthony Newman is gonna kill it and have West Linn playing some of their best ball in years..

#5 Nelson @ #4 Willamette Willamette 33 Nelson 30

I thought Willamette was going to win last years quarterfinal game against CC but they came up just short 27-20. This should be one of the best games played all year with the Wolverines veteran leadership helping them get a close win.

#6 Central Catholic @ #3 Lake Oswego LO 31 Central Catholic 13

LO will be playing their best ball of the season at this point and should run away from CC.

#10 Oregon City @ #2 Tualatin Tualatin 38 OC 16

Not sure how this Oregon City upset pick turns out for me but I don't see them hanging with Tualatin in the regular season or the playoffs. Overall I really like both programs and think they are headed in the right direction.

SEMIS

#4 Willamette @ #1 West Linn WL 34 Willamette 17

Willamette plays even with West Linn during the first half and then it's too much [player_tooltip player_id='937233' first='Sloan' last='Baker'] with the Lions winning by a couple scores

#3 Lake Oswego @ #2 Tualatin Tual 20 Lake O 19

The game of the year. Tualatin gets a 2 point win during the regular season and a 1 point win in the state semifinals.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

#2 Tualatin @ #1 West Linn WL 27 Tualatin 24

The T Wolves just added two top lineman with [player_tooltip player_id='937240' first='Isaiah' last='Ormond'] being a POY favorite on the defensive front, to go with a pair of 6-4 incoming juniors who both rank as two of the better O lineman in Oregon for their class ([player_tooltip player_id='2106063' first='Rocco' last='Grady'], [player_tooltip player_id='2106065' first='Mason' last='Powarczuk']). Tualatin has lacked a line in years past and that shouldn't be the case anymore.

They have more skills guys than they know what to do with, who can compete with anybody, so it call comes down to QB play and how well the line meshes together. (If) that happens I see Tualatin playing an extremely competive title game and coming up just short.
