Camp Season: NW Names to Rememeber OL/DL + RB/LB

The list of players referenced here is somewhat all over the map. A few of the individuals rank among the nation's best, along with all conference & all state athletes, and prospects who have potential but haven't proven themselves yet.         Have a look at some of the OL/DL & RB/LB's we are looking forward to seeing on the collegiate showcase circuit in the coming weeks, starting with The NW Showcase at Western Oregon, the largest camp on the west coast.             [player_tooltip player_id='1397350' first='Xavier' last='Berry'] 29' OL 6-7 270 Federal Way WA   One of the top lineman in America for the 2029 class. As most know Berry had a breakout performance at last year's Northwest Showcase at WOU, landing offers from the likes of Oregon and others. Washington, Arizona St, and Oregon St have made their intentions known as well.    [player_tooltip player_id='2090565' first='Brady' last='Nichols'] 28' DL 6-6 270 Mountain View OR   Maybe Oregon's breakout player of the year next season. I could see Nichols being a 1st team all-state selection on both sides of the football and landing multiple D1 offers. His size, versatility, and overall athleticism (Wrestling) put him in a special category of athlete.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609761' first='Tyler' last='Holmes'] 28' LB 6-1 215 West Linn OR   One of the best players in Oregon for the 2028 class. Holmes was an underclass MVP at the Northwest Showcase at Western Oregon, the largest event on the west coast. His 2nd team all TRL honors as a sophomore backed up all the hype.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213874' first='William' last='Wilson'] 27' LB 6-4 235 Archbishop Murphy WA   Idaho, Eastern Washington and Portland St have all offered and there will likely be many more for the big LB. Look for him to make a massive jump up the PRZ rankings board when updated and add numerous offers in the coming weeks & months.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213883' first='Luke' last='O'Hara'] 28' DE 6-4 260 Bellarmine Prep WA   O'Hara recently excelled at the MaxXposure Combine in Seattle recording the 2nd best composite score among D lineman. He will make the move from playing small school ball to Bellarmine where he should garner significant recognition in the 3A PSL.    [player_tooltip player_id='1165801' first='Benjamin' last='Greer'] 27' LB 6-1 220 South Salem OR   Greer is already ranked among the top players in Oregon's 2027 class, but he deserves some additional praise after setting state records last year. Even with his offensive accolades he could project on D making 90+ tackles in 2025.    [player_tooltip player_id='2148452' first='Griffinn' last='Cheney'] 28' DE 6-2 235 Marist OR   There isn't necessarily a lot known about Cheney as of right now, but he did put together some legit film for Marist as a sophomore from his D end spot. His size and ability to run (4.7 40-yard dash) has him projecting as one of the better D lineman at the 4A level next year.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213886' first='Kalama' last='Roberson'] 28' RB 6-0 180 Walla Walla WA   One of the fastest rising athletes in the state of Washington for the 2028 class. Roberson is a big part of the turnaround at Walla Walla, going for 658 all-purpose yards last year with 6 total TDs. His 71 carries and 24 receptions as a sophomore speak to his versatility.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213876' first='Kelton' last='Wimsett'] 27' OL 6-5 275 Heritage WA   Heritage did much better as a program last year going (6-4) while bringing back a solid group this season. They will have a lot more's eyes on them with this improvement, making Wimsett and his 6-5 frame a prime candidate to breakout.    [player_tooltip player_id='887126' first='Landon' last='Fray'] 27' OL 6-7 320 Gresham OR   Fray has been putting in work for a while now and he is a massive human being. His mobility has improved a great deal earning honorable mention all conference last year for the Gophers. If he can continue to work on his speed and agility, the size and potential speaks for itself.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213877' first='Andrew' last='Lucas'] 27' RB 6-0 190 Archbishop Murphy WA   Lucas has outstanding film. He missed 5 games during his junior season but was part of one of the best 2A programs ever to rep the state, finishing 13-0 and winning a title. Once again the tape speaks for itself.    [player_tooltip player_id='2054700' first='Ethan' last='Tatum'] 27' G 6-2 275 West Salem OR   The big man had a solid junior season earning 1st team all-conference honors on the interior. He can play multiple spots up front but absolutely projects as a guard at the next level. Tatum could be a small college All American.    [player_tooltip player_id='1775310' first='Heath' last='Laurent'] 28' OLB/Nickel 6-2 195 Lake Oswego OR   The reigning state champs graduate a bunch of talent with Laurent potentially being the beneficiary of that. There is still a lot yet to be determined, but the young outside backer has impressive size and could be one of the TRL's top newcomers this season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1708645' first='John' last='Alexander'] 27' DE 6-5 230 Gladstone OR   We've talked about Alexander numerous times already with him ranking as one of the top defenders in the state for the 2027 class. The Gladstone program has struggled so credit to the big man for getting out on the circuit.     [player_tooltip player_id='2213892' first='Liam' last='Reyburn'] 28' OL 6-5 250 Wilsonville OR   Expect Reyburn to play a pivotal role for a Wildcats program that will once again compete for a 5A state title. Wilsonville is (32-5) over the last three seasons, and he will need to step up if Wilsonville wants to compete with the likes of Silverton, Mountain View, and Summit in 2026.   [player_tooltip player_id='2213880' first='Mason' last='Emil'] 27' DE 6-6 235 Mount Rainier WA   There is still a lot of work to be done but you can't teach 6-6 with the frame. As a junior he made 40 tackles, with 18.5 TFL's, and 7.5 sacks. The collegiate showcase circuit could be huge for him.    [player_tooltip player_id='1924374' first='Zuzi' last='Alwineyan'] 27' RB 5-11 195 Willamette OR   Another guy who has a stock that is rising quickly. We've talked about Alwineyan on multiple occasions after a breakout junior campaign where he accounted for close to 700 all-purpose yards and 6 TD's. Look for him to be one of the best backs in Oregon this season.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213895' first='Alexander' last='Goeckner'] 29' TE/DE 6-3 190 Jesuit OR   The young gun has good size and will be a big part of Jesuit's future. He has done well as part of Team Lillard and should be one of the top two-way threats in the Metro League as early as next season.    David Dirden 28' DE 6-2 235 Curtis WA   Dirden looks the part and he comes hard off the edge, but he is still a relatively unknown athlete. Look for him to get in the mix this year for a Curtis a team with a new coach and some legit guys returning.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213893' first='Wynn' last='Kokkeler'] 28' C 6-2 235 Marist OR   Much like his teammate Cheney, Kokkeler provides some young leadership for the Spartans next season. As most know if you have a line you got a shot, with Marist having some solid dudes returning. Look for him to potentially be one of the better centers in Oregon.
