Best of the Best: PRZ Exposure Series Camp Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Redzone brought is Exposure Series camp to Albuquerque High School on Saturday. About 60 players showed up to compete and improve their skills for the 2026 season on a beautiful afternoon in the Duke City. Here are some of the standout players:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Offensive MVP</strong>: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1155032' first='CJ' last='Granados'], Dexter</strong>. Granados was already an impressive athlete two years ago when he was a sophomore at Dexter. Since then, he's only gotten bigger, better and stronger. &nbsp;He's a freakish athlete with exceptional size, speed, rocket arm and uncanny accuracy. Saturday, he proved he's ready for a superb senior season as Dexter competes in District 2A-4, one of the toughest in the state. Oh yeah, he's a pretty good golfer and hoops players too. Elite athleticism makes him a fantastic dual threat QB. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Defensive MVP</strong>: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1604734' first='Jacari' last='Smith'], Rio Rancho</strong>. The Rio Rancho defense could be salty this season with Smith being one of the Rams' best players. He's got a lightning quick first step and the strength to power past offensive tackles. Time after time on Saturday, he won his 1-on-1 battles. He'll be a handful this season for opposing offensive linemen. Actually, what we saw Saturday wasn't really surprising considering Smith had 17 TFL, 7.0 sacks and 20 QB hurries in 2025. Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO recently offered. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Additional Standouts</strong>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1613367' first='Cash' last='Brewer'], La Cueva</strong>: Brewer, who will likely play tight end for the Bears this season, is a rare combination of size and speed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1686972' first='Chris' last='Lopez'], La Cueva</strong>: Posted the fastest time in the 40, as he has regularly done at PRZ camps in the past. Primed for a sensational senior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1155132' first='Aiden' last='Maldonado'], Sandia</strong>: Like Brewer, Maldonado has impressive size, speed and athleticism. Won the Testing MVP award (No. 1 in 5-10-5 and L Drill) and showed why a school like Colorado School of Mines is interested. Maldonado will spearhead a solid Sandia defense in 2026. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1613476' first='Christian' last='Morales'], St. Pius X</strong>: After St. Pius X's top receiver from last season moved to Arizona, the spotlight shifts to Morales to catch plenty of passes this coming season. He showed off his speed and soft hands on Saturday. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2101127' first='Marley' last='Munoz'], Carlsbad</strong>: Munoz impressed on Saturday with his passing skills. He'll be the leader of a Carlsbad offense that will feature a solid ground game with RB [player_tooltip player_id='1605005' first='Brock' last='Wright']. Munoz and Wright are two key reasons Carlsbad is cautiously optimistic. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2178840' first='Rohan' last='Patel'], Los Lunas</strong>: Patel qualifies as a Young Gun. Just a sophomore, he already stands about 6-foot-3 with a strong, accurate throwing arm. He's competing for the Tigers' starting QB job. If he continues to perform like he did on Saturday, we'll see him under center in Los Lunas' season opener at Mayfield. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1988470' first='Ezra' last='Wagner'], Sandia</strong>: Wagner will be part (along with [player_tooltip player_id='1155132' first='Aiden' last='Maldonado']) of a solid linebacker corps. He showed off his speed on Saturday. Played nearly every snap on defense a season ago. The Matadors are a playoff contender in 2026. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1605990' first='Darrien' last='Williams'], Hope Christian</strong>: Son of former Cibola head coach Rod Williams (who's now an assistant at Hope Christian), Darrien displayed his athleticism on Saturday by posting the longest distance of any player in the broad jump.
