Former district rivals St. Michael and West Feliciana wrapped up their spring practices with a scrimmage against one another Thursday for a measuring stick to head into the summer.

Both teams had their moments in the matchup in St. Francisville, with the visiting Warriors ultimately winning the live-quarter portion that capped the night.

Here's a look at eight of the eye-catchers from the matchup.

Deontae Camel — 5-9, 175 RB — St. Michael (2027)

The rising senior running back may have been as consistent of a highlight-producer as anyone on the field with his ability to pop big plays in a variety of ways with good balance through contact, slipping through attempted tackles for additional yardage; some really nice cuts back past defenders at speed in the open field; and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Carlos Levingston — 6-1, 170 WR/DB — St. Michael (2027)

and Jack Boyles — 6-1, 170 WR/TE — St. Michael (2027)

The Warriors also showed a good mix of weapons in the passing game, including a pair of rising with some of the biggest downfield highlights. Boyles, a multisport standout for the school, had a focused, leaping catch for a long score right off the bat in the scripted plays portion of the night. Levingston stretched the field sideline-to-sideline early with his speed on end-around and screen touches before also pushing downfield for bigger gains in the passing game. He also showed some physicality on both sides, willing to lower his shoulder for extra yards with the ball in his hands and coming up near the box or tackling in space on defense.

Douglas Kelley — 6-5, 280 OL/DL — St. Michael (2027)

The Warriors' big tackle — on both sides of the ball – quickly stood out physically with measurables that check boxes college coaches are looking for. And he was effective helping pave the way for Camel and the ground game and protecting the quarterback's blindside, getting his hands on edge rushers, extended his arms and moving them around at his will.

[player_tooltip player_id='1636259' first='Dustin' last='Davis'] — 5-8, 145 WR/DB — West Feliciana (2028)

"Petey" was an all-district performer as a sophomore and has already reported an early Millsaps offers. He's a quick and crafty route-runner who catches everything thrown his way, including — while not being the biggest athlete physically — playing as a bigger target than his measurables with his good reach and ability to consistently make sure, strong-handed catches on leaping and stretching plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782493' first='Nolan' last='Daniel'] — 6-3, 280 OL — West Feliciana (2027)

The biggest-name prospect among the rising seniors on the field, Daniel worked at left guard in the scrimmage and showcased why most of the FCS programs around Louisiana and some in neighboring states are interested in him joining their programs. He is a big mauler at the position, who plays with good balance and a tenacity and nastiness to give high effort throughout, put defenders on the turf and play through the whistle.

Brooks Hebert — 6-0, 170 QB — West Feliciana (2028)

The Saints' multisport standout is a quarterback to keep an eye on in Louisiana's 2028 class with a quick release, strong arm and good athleticism to escape some pressure and extend plays when necessary. Hebert earned all-district accolades as a sophomore in his first season starting and said he is playing with more confidence and seeing the field better with the experience under his belt.

Thomas Haile Jr. — 5-9 150 DB/ATH — West Feliciana (2030)

The youngster is one of the next promising young stars to watch coming through St. Francisville and on a statewide level and at times showed both the high potential and the youth. "T.J." had maybe the biggest highlight-reel play of the day breaking loose for a long, winding, spinning and tackle-shedding touchdown run while quarterbacks the second unit. And while he was still working through some kinks getting more comfortable and more effectively timing his plays in coverage, he was more than confident wrapping up tackles of older athletes in space and along the sideline.
