FORT MILL | [player_tooltip player_id='1271263' first='KJ' last='Burg'] (pictured above) was a force to be reckoned with for South Pointe's defense in 2025, on their way to a state championship win over South Florence. He finished the year as the team's leading tackler with over 100 tackles.

Now the rising senior has taken his talents across town to Northwestern in Rock Hill, and he has left his mark during the Coaches Combine Series this spring, and wrapped it up with a great showing during the Invite Only session on Sunday morning at Fort Mill High School. He showed the intensity, and ability to read the run and made stop after stop, even telling the other guys what to expect during the inside run period.

Burg was excited to put his talents on display for the Shrine Bowl and Touchstone Energy Bowl coaching staff in attendance.

“It was a blessing. It was a gift from God to be able to come out here with all the best athletes. South Carolina is really the real deal. I give everything to God and he just lets me play freely and have fun,” Burg told Prep Redzone SC after the event.

We saw plenty of examples of that throughout the morning as guys brought their own energy and caught our eye with plays they made, and the film can back it up as well. Here's a look at 19 additional guys we observed from the skill guys on offense to the guys on the lines of scrimmage, and a specialist.

QUARTERBACKS AND WIDE RECEIVERS

[player_tooltip player_id='232624' first='Xavier' last='Means'] QB, Northwestern – Means returns to the Trojans for his senior season after leading the Trojans to a state championship in his first year as a starter. We saw him zip the ball with velocity throughout the session, much like he did in 2025, throwing for 28 touchdowns and 2686 yards. He connected with receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1718680' first='Payton' last='Vining'] on one throw late in the session that we included below. He threw it on a line and Vining plucked it out of the air. We think this is a connection that will be lethal in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1647580' first='Corey' last='Gleaton'] WR, Gray Collegiate – The All-State receiver from 2025 for the War Eagles had an excellent junior campaign, recording 52 receptions for 1243 yards and 14 touchdowns while also contributing on defense with 17 solo tackles. We watched him at receiver with his ability to get up field and catch a route quickly. He has great hands and he made a great adjustment to the ball near the sideline to reel it in. He'll be an impact player on the outside at receiver or wherever they put him this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422528' first='Maleek' last='Miller'] WR, Dutch Fork – Miller heads to Dutch Fork after the 2025 season at Irmo, where he was an impact player from his slot position. He knows how to find the green grass and get open. He can turn a quick slant route into a touchdown quickly with his speed and ability to glide away from defenders after making the grab. During Sunday's Invite Only showcase, he did a good job of running underneath the ball to catch it in stride and keep running for yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='513067' first='Malik' last='Ratliff'] WR, Northwestern – Ratliff is another transfer from South Pointe who had a fantastic junior season for the Stallions. He had 730+ receiving yards and a 30-plus reception year. He can catch the ball at its highest point, and that's what we saw on Sunday. He has numerous Division 1 offers including UAB and North Carolina, who recently offered him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603911' first='Isaiah' last='Small'] WR, Ridge View – Don't leave Small with a little bit of space, because he will make you pay for it if you're not in the right position. He can make plays on special teams, as he took a kickoff back to the house last year against Westwood for Richland Northeast. Now, Small is at Ridge View, where he should fit right in with the Blazers' excellent core of receivers. He made things look effortless on a quick slant where he was able to get up field quickly after making the grab.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581467' first='Brooks' last='Dow'] QB, Pickens – Dow drew rave reviews from the coaches at Sunday's Invite Only combine. There were several, but one in particular throw that he made where the delivery was solid and it hit the receiver right in the facemask where he was able to catch it and get up field. Dow had a fantastic junior season, throwing for 1550 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 1083 yards and 19 touchdowns.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN, DEFENSIVE LINEMEN, LINEBACKERS, SPECIALISTS

[player_tooltip player_id='1036776' first='Israel' last='Harris'] OL, James Island – Harris showed good physicality in the one-on-one drills that we saw with the offensive linemen where they had to punch a bag, emulating the opposing defensive linemen and making a good first step. Harris exemplified all of that with an ability to stay outside vertical. He made an excellent pull block later on in the session in the run game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604450' first='Joshua' last='Norris'] OL, South Pointe – Norris has the size that you're looking for from the offensive linemen position. He uses his hands well to shield off opposing defensive linemen and he has good knee bend and ability to be physical with linemen as well. He mainly lines up at right guard and can anticipate what the opposing defensive linemen is going to do.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104507' first='Ames' last='Oliver'] OL, Rock Hill – This is one of the first opportunities we've had to see Oliver in person and he looks the part and will catch your eye when you see him. His knee bend and flexibility moving to the opposing linemen and out is impressive. He was moving people off the ball when we watched him later against opposing defensive linemen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822691' first='Triston' last='Diggs'] OL, Carvers Bay – Diggs was fun to watch with his initial first move. He has a good stance which allows him to move quickly once the ball is snapped. He can drive the linemen off the football and create lanes for the running back or keep the quarterback's jersey clean. He was booking it during the speed test.

[player_tooltip player_id='1766922' first='Caden' last='Freeman'] OL, Berkeley – Freeman showed great hands with his ability to move the opposing linemen. He can knock people off the ball from his right guard spot and he won't quit until the whistle blows. He has great upper body strength and can overpower opposing defensive linemen.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820011' first='Josiah' last='Chambers'] OL, Byrnes – Chambers showed violent hands and can drive the opposing defensive linemen back, as we saw during a competitive part of Sunday's combine. The All-Region performer from a year ago plays primarily at left guard, and can match up with the best of them on the defensive line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821580' first='Jeffery' last='Williams'] OL, Loris – Williams has great size and ability to move laterally well during the individual period. When you look at him, he has the makings of a great offensive linemen. He may not be well known now, but we think he could be on pace for a big 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823120' first='Dillon' last='Hutcherson'] LB, Blythewood – The effort from Hutcherson that we saw during the speed test was impressive to see and that's exactly what you want to see from an aggressive linebacker. He had 66 tackles, one interception and seven sacks in 2025. He hustles to the ball and can bring down the ball carrier in a hurry, as we saw Sunday and on his film as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172366' first='Tyrone' last='Jennings'] DL, Irmo – Jennings pursues opposing offensive linemen with a purpose and he can quickly get into the backfield to affect the run game. He has great size and can move and anticipate what an opposing offensive linemen is going to do. He takes great pursuit angles to the ball and can make shoestring tackles, like we saw on his film.

[player_tooltip player_id='1422589' first='Peyton' last='Bishop'] DL, Dutch Fork – Watching Bishop in person at the defensive end spot, we can see why he was a handle for guys to block in the Midlands through 2025. He has great size and a great get off on the ball. There were several times where he beat the offensive linemen off the snap and was in the backfield to make a play on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1818387' first='Bryson' last='Barnette'] OL, Mountain View Prep – Barnette had several nice reps when we went over to watch the offensive line. He showed great physicality at the point of attack to help with a double team of an opposing defensive linemen and push him back, helping give the running back a chance to get going.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820447' first='Noah' last='Hardy'] K, Fort Mill – Hardy put on a show for the Shrine Bowl coaches in attendance once the main event wrapped up. We watched him boom kick offs in the end zone and not allow the returner to have a chance to return punts. It's what we've been seeing throughout all our evaluations of Hardy, and we expect that to continue in 2026.
