Prep Redzone Illinois was at Collinsville High School for the Illinois High School Spring Showcase featuring prospects from the metro east and southern Illinois. It was a great event with a ton of college level prospects putting their skills on display in front of college coaches. Here is a look at the Top Defensive Lineman at the event!

Omari Christian (Collinsville – 2027)

Christian was one of the most impressive defensive lineman at the camp. At 6'0” 238 pounds he has the frame, strength, and quickness to excel at the next level. Looks the part and has elite quickness coming off the line blowing past offensive tackles with his speed. The edge rusher had a sweet in and out move to beat the right tackle. Also threw dudes like rag dolls with his hands. Won at will. Definitely helped himself with a strong showing!

Jakori York (Collinsville – 2027)

York had one of the more impressive moments in one on ones as the thick bodied undersized defensive tackle who goes 5'11” 292 pounds pushed his opponent right back up the middle like he was a bag and not a human. Quickness off the ball and good use of hands. Power is the name of his game.

Brody Busch (Triad – 2028)

Really liked what we saw out of this defensive tackle. Quickness off the snap. Explosive power rusher using his quickness and strength to get up field. Knows how to use angles and hands to get to the QB.

Jaxon Whitaker (Mascoutah – 2027)

At 6'3” 240 pounds Whitaker is a plus athlete that has explosive pop off the snap. Wins with his hands and power. Think he can be a steal at the small college level with his developmental upside!

[player_tooltip player_id='2134892' first='Tristen' last='Still'] (Highland – 2028)

Still stands out with his size at 6'4” 245 pounds. Great frame, elite length, and plus athleticism. Light on his feet. Best playing on the outside.

Caden Funderburk (Highland – 2027)

The 6'0” 253 pound defensive tackle is powerful with his push up the middle. Up and over move was impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1361646' first='Cashen' last='Brown'] (O'Fallon – 2027)

The Panthers defensive end at 6'4” 200 pounds brings a powerful bull rush to the table. Powerful hands and has some projectable tools.
