SPARTANBURG | There was talent all over the field in both 2027 sessions of the Carolinas Coaches Combine in Spartanburg. A lot of the attention, though, belonged in the trenches. Linemen on both sides of the ball turned in some great performances all day long.

Want proof? Look no further than the second 2027 session's MVP. Blythewood OL [player_tooltip player_id='1172352' first='Reed' last='Paolucci'] grabbed the honors after a dominant afternoon performance against some of the top DL in the state.

Paolucci won time after time in drills, holding off a bunch of talented DL in one-on-one matchups. He said he enjoyed the experience of competing against some of the best in the state.

"It feels amazing," he said. "The only way to get better is to play against someone as good as you or better than you to get better. I love it."

Paolucci wasn't the only standout in the afternoon action. Here's a look at the other individual winners from 2027 Session 2.

TOP OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

[player_tooltip player_id='1811119' first='James' last='Ross'], Ridge View

Ross had an excellent afternoon. He used his nearly 80-inch wingspan to hold off the pass rush in one-on-one drills, and showed good footwork in the individual portion.

TOP DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

[player_tooltip player_id='1811027' first='Luke' last='Penland'], J.L. Mann

Another guy with long arms and plenty of power, Penland looked overwhelming on a few reps in drills. He showed his skills on both sides of the line, and showcased a variety of moves to get past the offensive lineman across from him.

TOP OFFENSIVE COMBO

[player_tooltip player_id='1668403' first='Matthew' last='Casey'] TE/H, Wren

At nearly 240 pounds, Casey is a guy who is going to be an absolute matchup nightmare for the Hurricanes. He put up solid numbers in the vertical leap and broad jump, he tied for first in the pro shuttle, finishing second on a tiebreaker, and he showed plenty of talent in drills.

TOP DEFENSIVE COMBO

[player_tooltip player_id='1422623' first='DQ' last='Green'] LB, Lamar

Green did a bunch of stuff really well in the combine portion, with a 4.78 40, a broad jump of 8.92 feet, and a 4.69 pro shuttle. Then he went out and backed it up with a standout performance in drills, breaking up a pass and providing tight coverage.

TOP OFFENSIVE SKILL

[player_tooltip player_id='840548' first='Tre' last='Howard'] QB, Ridge View

Howard really opened some eyes in individual competition and drills. He showed the ability to make every throw, and he really cut it loose on a couple of deep balls, and included plenty of zip on throws to the far hash.

TOP DEFENSIVE SKILL

[player_tooltip player_id='1821286' first='Tyler' last='Robinson'] DB, Catawba Ridge

Robinson ran a 4.4 pro shuttle, showing excellent change of direction. He moves well and has the ability to adjust his coverage with the ball in the air. He broke on the ball well, and made life tough on receivers for most of the afternoon.

40-YARD DASH, TOP MILES PER HOUR

[player_tooltip player_id='1271257' first='Nick' last='Gordon'] WR, Cheraw - 4.38, 22.2 MPH

185-POUND BENCH REPS

[player_tooltip player_id='1811084' first='Nathan' last='McSwain'] OL, Fountain Inn - 41 reps

PRO SHUTTLE

[player_tooltip player_id='1791039' first='JT' last='Forrester'] DL, Wren - 4.17 & 4.47 (tie-breaker)

BROAD JUMP, VERTICAL LEAP

Ty Dubose LB, Belton-Honea Path - 10'8", 35"

TOP SPECIALIST

Nate Beaver K, Summerville

LEADERSHIP AWARD

[player_tooltip player_id='2104680' first='Nymerius' last='Taylor'] DB, Woodmont
