Arkansas Scouting Report: Ten Underrated Defensive Talents

He is a high-motor defensive end who plays sideline to sideline, chasing down ball carriers with solid foot speed. He excels as a run defender with potential as a zone defender. He uses solid angles and foot quickness to make plays in space. The safety plays with a high motor, chasing down ball carriers with solid angles at all field levels. Jones displays solid read and react ability in the deep thirds. He demonstrates solid burst and change of direction, giving him the ability to position himself to challenge the catch point and force a PBU over the top. Croft is a physical corner who can jam effectively and be strong in zone coverage. Overall, solid recovery speed as he will play through the whistle. Sims displays his high motor off the snap, playing sideline-to-sideline. Bedford can stack and shed blockers when attacking downhill. He's athletic and plays with a high motor, making him versatile enough to be positioned all over the defense.
