With March rapidly coming to a close I am going to continue to feature positional groups as we have done this month, before shifting gears to more camp-combine coverage with some 7v7 sprinkled in once April rolls around.

With several dozen rising stars, potential prospects and under-the-radar ballers lined up for off-season progress-to-target update reports, I decided to mix it up a little and kick the week off by randomly selecting six players, two from each of the returning classes, for the report below before shifting back to the last of the March positional grouping reviews.

Below are a handful of top prospects from the the returning classes representated by a variety of different positions.

So without further adieu, let's take a closer look at what these guys have been up to this off-season.

2027's

[player_tooltip player_id='1275258' first='Jadyn' last='Baum'], 5'10, 220, RB/ATH, Washburn Rural, '27, (PICTURED ABOVE) - up first is a guy coming off a standout junior season when he ran for 1,300+ yards, averaging 10 yards a carry and scored 10 TD's. He also snagged 18 passes out of the backfield for another 260 yards and two more scores. With his low center of gravity, powerful frame and explosiveness, he is a battering ram of a runner between the tackles but has the burst and 4.55 speed to burn it up in the open field. Once the season was over he went right into wrestling and has been training daily, lifting and conducting fieldwork on speed, explosiveness, and position-specific skills with teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1275252' first='Cade' last='Danielson'] and baller Steve Cantrell who was recently featured in a PRZ article. With numerous event invites in hand he is heading to K-State, Washburn and has several combines in mind. This playmaker is primed for a huge senior year.

Jaxton Kitchener, 5'9, 195, WR/ATH, Salina South, '27, next up for the rapidly-approaching seniors is a guy who caught my eye last year when he and his teammates flipped the script in the second half of the season, winning two of their last three, which included major upsets in two playoff wins. As a versatile receiver who can split wide or operate out of the slot, he has sticky hands and runs precise routes. He is also fearless going over the middle to make the contested grab. A three-sport guy, once the season was over he went right into hoops and is now playing baseball. He has also been training with the guys at Sharp Performance @sharp_spelite in their FBA Program as well as alongside teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1566712' first='Armane' last='Redmond'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1652617' first='Maddox' last='Girard']. He is still considering which events to hit but will definitely be at the up-coming K-State camp. This guy was just getting warmed up last year and is going to bring the fireworks this fall.

2028's

[player_tooltip player_id='1907001' first='Landry' last='Fitzgerald'], 6'2, 215, MLB/ATH, Liberal, '28, up first for the juniors to be is a guy who impressed me early as a ball-buster of a middle linebacker who piled up 90 tackles, five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a sophomore. The previous year he quickly developed into a freshman starter before his breakthrough season last fall. With his strength, speed and athleticism he can play any of the LB positions but is quickly establishing himself as one of the top MLB's in western Kansas. He has predatory read and react skills, with a quick lateral burst and when he arrives on the scene drops the sledgehammer in a hurry. Once the season was over he went into wrestling and is currently running track and playing baseball. He has also been busy in the weight room, setting PR's in all the major lifts. His camp plans are to hit McPherson, Sharp Performance, Washburn and Pitt State. Expecting big things from this guy in '26.

Carter Bukovaz, 6'1, 230, DE/OL, Shawnee Mission NW, '28, up next for the 2028 guys is another baller brought to my attention by the legendary Coach Cook at SMNW and he is a baller flying under the radar right now but is working hard this off-season to change that narrative in the near future. A versatile, two-way player, he can help anchor the offensive line at multiple positions, but has really stood out as a gate-crashing defensive end. With a powerful frame, utilizing great pad level and having a nose for the ball, he quickly stuffs the run game at the line of scrimmage or fires through gaps to cause chaos in the backfield when the opposition tries to throw. Once the season concluded he immediately went into the grind, lifting and doing speedwork with teammate and rising star Kia Lowry @KaiLemisioLowry, who was featured earlier, and is also working with Coach Jeddy @coachjeddy_DL on d-line training. His work is paying off as he is 15 pounds heavier and faster since last year. This guy is going to be a beast this fall.

2029's

[player_tooltip player_id='1577751' first='Abe' last='Harms'], 5'10, 185, LB/LS, Blue Valley SW, '29, first up and fresh off his first season of varsity is a two-way player who had a strong year on special teams as an ace long-snapper, saw quite a bit of action at OLB and was in on 15 tackles for the year. Once the season came to a close he immediately started grinding, hitting one of the early camps at the PRZ Showcase in St. Joe, MO and is also busy fine-tuning his man and zone coverage skills playing 7v7 with Grindtime. He is also in the middle of track season, doing the 100 and 200m sprints and continuing to work on foot speed, burst and acceleration for this fall. Working out with phenom [player_tooltip player_id='1582714' first='Blake' last='Thomas'] @blakethomas23_ and Wolfpack standout [player_tooltip player_id='2079301' first='Sam' last='Moody'] @SamMoody27 , he has blown by his PR's in all the major lifts. This guy got his foot in the door in year one and intends to kick it open this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2116575' first='Riley' last='Windholz'] , 6'2, 175, QB, Hays, '29, and last but certainly not least, we have a young dual-threat gunslinger of a QB who already has good size, great athleticism and all the skills to be a next-level signal caller. As a quarterback he can make all the throws, from crisp, pin-point strikes in the short game to the deep velocity throws and can feather it in with a soft touch. He is particularly dangerous when the play breaks down, as he is fast, elusive and can throw off platform or from different launch angles as needed. This off-season he has been busy, currently playing AAU basketball, running the sprints in track and is also one of the top long jumpers in the state with a 21+ foot jump so far. He is also making time to work on his passing mechanics and pocket skill sets throwing to his receivers and working on timing. This guy has the toolbox and the drive and is already starting to get next-level notice. Get ready to see a weapon in action this fall.

In conclusion, get out and see these talented players this fall - you won't be disappointed! Also, if you know of any players not getting any/enough coverage that they deserve, please feel free to DM me via X so we can take care of that!

And, most importantly...

Keep Grindin'

With March rapidly coming to a close I am going to continue to feature positional groups as we have done this month, before shifting gears to more camp-combine coverage with some 7v7 sprinkled in once April rolls around.
