It wasn't his best or cleanest day, but that was what made it so impressive. He was able to battle and compete anyway, and make some key plays for his team. He's lanky and quick, can create separation at the top of his route and understands how to exploit the weak spots in the zone. He's a quick and twitchy athlete that can create separation and use his lateral quickness to lose defenders. He also has the speed to simply blow by defenders for wide open deep balls. Without a doubt, he has some of the surest hands I watched all day long. He was a big target that plucked balls out of the air and didn't allow defenders to even have a chance. His wheels and change of direction are off the chart. Defenders just flat out don't know how to defend him sometimes. He has sure hands and provides a consistent safety valve for the QB. Just throw it his way and let him go do his thing. I love the way he fires off and gets to his top speed quickly. Once there, he gives no indicators before abruptly breaking off his route. Really good hands and wide catch radius. He knows how to win separation on short and intermediate routes, and has the athleticism to gash a defense deep when given the chance. His ability to cover in space is extremely impressive. He's able to read, react and allow no space. He patrols the middle of the defense and makes life difficult for quarterbacks. His athleticism is so advanced compared to anyone else in this class.
