<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As customary with my event coverage, I feverishly write as many notes as I can, as quickly as I can, in order to report on as many prospects as I can. In this feature from Prep Redzone New England's Stock Up Showcase, I share my positional notes for the group aforementioned in this article's title. More coverage on different groups will be forthcoming in the days to follow, so be sure to check back later!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Wide Receiver Notebook</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 2029 prospect that showed some positive signs was Tristan Ortiz-Rotolo. Ortiz-Rotolo proved to be a solid prospect throughout the evening, showcasing good hands, particularly through contact. Areas for Ortiz-Rotolo to continue to develop his game would be to snap his hips a bit harder on routes that call for it. Doing so will force anxious defenders to slam on their breaks and create space and separation in the process. He also drifted a bit too far into the sideline on a few routes, so I would say sideline awareness is another opportunity for Ortiz-Rotolo to grow... There is an opposite side to that coin, the face of [player_tooltip player_id='1656372' first='Jamani' last='LaGuerre']. LaGuerre did a great job of snapping his hips, particularly on routes that came back to the ball. That same theme in mind, he also actually <em>came back to the ball</em> on those routes. Understanding that the ball is best in his hands sooner rather than later, LaGuerre attacks it to not only secure possession, but put in that work. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Out of all the reps I witnessed, [player_tooltip player_id='984469' first='Colton' last='Francis'] just might have made the best adjustment out of anyone. On a deep post, his quarterback and Francis did not appear on the same page in terms of spacing and placement - something to be factored when attending a camp. The throw lead Francis a bit too much, and it was a bit behind him. This forced him to catch up with it, then spin around because it was overran, spin around, slow down, leap, and make a sick catch in traffic. For as unorthodox a throw it was, something about it was poetic beauty... I am not going to lie to you, I might have had a crush on [player_tooltip player_id='1308892' first='Trae' last='Ford']. The 6'4" 167lb rising junior had a tremendous frame to grown into and add healthy mass. Ford first caught my eye during indy, where he moved extremely well for somebody his size. It was akin to a Ford F-150 moving like a Mustang. Additionally, his breaks were sharp and sudden. I did, however, need some feedback from one of the college coaches who were in attendance. I remarked how I thought Ford sort of leans, not sinks, when making 90-degree cuts. Coach explained how in his experience this is typical for a prospect of that age and height. Mass and size will aid Ford in the future. I caught him getting bumped off his route and struggling some to get back to where his path/depth/spacing</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Prep Redzone New England Stock Up Showcase Event Coverage</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-qbs">Burning Questions: Quarterbacks</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-dl">Burning Questions: Defensive Linemen</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-rbs">Burning Questions: Running Backs</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-wr-te">Burning Questions: Wide Receivers/Tight Ends</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-lbs">Burning Questions: Linebackers</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-ol">Burning Questions: Offensive Linemen</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/burning-questions-prep-rezone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-dbs">Burning Questions: Defensive Backs</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-offensive-eye-test">Offensive Eye Test</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-stock-up-showcase-defensive-eye-test">Defensive Eye Test</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-top-defensive-combine-scores">Top Combine Scores: Defense</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-top-offensive-combine-scores">Top Combine Scores: Offense</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-defensive-back-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Defensive Back, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-defensive-back-notebook-part-ii">Scout's Notebook: Defensive Back, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-defensive-line-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Defensive Line, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-defensive-line-notebook-part-ii">Scout's Notebook: Defensive Line, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-linebacker-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Linebacker, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-offensive-line-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Offensive Line, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-offensive-line-notebook-part-ii">Scout's Notebook: Offensive Line, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-quarterback-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Quarterback, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-quarterback-notebook-part-ii">Scout's Notebook: Quarterback, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-running-back-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Running Back, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-tight-end-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Tight End, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-wide-receiver-notebook-part-i">Scout's Notebook: Wide Receiver, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-quarterback-notebook-part-ii">Scout's Notebook: Wide Receiver, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/02/prep-redzone-new-england-camp-wide-receiver-notebook-part-iii">Scout's Notebook: Wide Receiver, Part III</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
