He is a tall, stout player who plays on both sides of the ball. What really sets the intrigue here is his speed. He has a 10.89 PR in the 100M, and at his size, that is wicked. The kid can close space on defense, but can really roll on offense. Long-term, I think he projects best as an RB. At his size, with his speed, he is simply too talented of a playmaker to not have the ball in his hands consistently. Still, there will be a lot of intrigue about his potential as an LB at his size. He has thin ankles, is light on his feet, and does a good job of mirroring pass rushers. He pursues hard, is a good tackler, and fits the run well, so he might project best as a safety, but he is hard to drop the ball over at corner as well. Regardless of where he plays, this is a prototype. Mixon is a well-developed, well-rounded player. He is a stout, strong-framed player who is used reliably as a blocker, both in-line and from the HB spot. He is a fine enough athlete to be flipped the ball in the flat, where he can roll and fall forward a few yards to end runs, thanks to his size and strength. He has a mean streak, and he plays with it on a rare-traits frame.
