Yesterday we revealed our updated 2027 rankings. The new list included over four dozen new additions. Here are the Top 15 New Additions:

[player_tooltip player_id='2104483' first='Lucas' last='Basile'], Hot Springs: One of the mainstays of a Hot Springs defense that spearheaded the Tigers drive to the Class 3A quarterfinals. Finished second on Hot Springs with 79 tackles, 15.5 TFL and 5 QB hurries. Knows how to make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104231' first='Maurice' last='Bogle'], Dexter: First-Team All-State offensive linemen for the Demons, who reached the Class 3A state championship game for the second straight year. Good side at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104709' first='Nijion' last='Bokor'], Albuquerque High: Reclassified to 2027. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Bokor has been playing football for only a couple of years, so he's still raw. But there's no denying his talent. He had 35 tackles and 11 QB hurries at defense end in 2025, his first season with the Bulldogs varsity. Next level talent. Massive wingspan.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104335' first='Jacob' last='DeMarco'], Texico: Even though the Wolverines compete at the Class 2A level, they have one of the bigger offensive lines in the state. Big enough to make many 5A and 6A program envious. The 6-foot-2, 285-pound DeMarco is a key piece of the Texico O-Line, earning Second Team All-State honors at center.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104462' first='Robert' last='Garcia'], Hobbs: The Eagles defense was underrated in 2025, as most people focused on their prolific offense during their run to the 6A semifinals. Garcia enjoyed a splendid junior season with 96 tackles, 6.0 TFL, 6 passes defended and 2 interceptions. Active linebacker.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103749' first='Izaic' last='Gonzales'], Roswell: Emerged as a dangerous intermediate range wide receiver for the Coyotes in his first year with the varsity. Caught 41 passes for 605 yards and 2 TD. Also flashed his speed returning kicks. Averaged 18.0 yards on punt returns.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104477' first='Evan' last='Gurule'], Eldorado: Emerged as a tough, physical, fearless safety for the Eagles in 2025. Finished second in tackles with 87, an indication he's not afraid to play close to the line of scrimmage and help in run support. Those type of defenders are extremely valuable.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104442' first='Demarcus' last='Hill'], Hobbs: Was there a better No. 2 running back in the state in 2025? Hill fille din admirably when No. 1 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1604984' first='Shamus' last='Wright'] missed several games with an injury. Hill actually finished ahead of Wright on the rushing chart with 767 yards on 108 carries. Hobbs returns its top four rushers in 2026, including Hill, Wright and dynamic QB [player_tooltip player_id='1605057' first='Junior' last='Medrano']. Few teams will have a better ground attack than the Eagles.

[player_tooltip player_id='2101127' first='Marley' last='Munoz'], Carlsbad: The Cavemen reached the 6A quarterfinals after knocking off Rio Rancho on the road in the first round. Munoz emerged as a dynamic dual threat QB in his first year as the starting QB, changing the way Carlsbad ran its offense. He threw for over 1,500 yards, rushed for close to 900 yards and accounted for 19 TD. His second year as Carlsbad's starting QB should be even better.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104457' first='Jerome' last='Salazar'], Legacy Academy: Salazar was one of the leaders of an outstanding Legacy Academy defense in 2025. He finished second on the Silverbacks with 96 tackles, 4 QB hurries and a team-high 3 forced fumbles. He knows how to separate ball carriers from the football. Fantastic football instincts. Always in the middle of the action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1629861' first='Vaughn' last='Saunders'], La Cueva: Saunders showed off his skills at the recent Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in Grants. He has great size (6-foot-2, 205 pounds), speed, quickness and elite athleticism. Besides running with the ball, Saunders knows how to catch passes as well, often leaping over smaller defensive backs. Definitely has 1,000-yard potential in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104470' first='Jacob' last='Soto'], Las Cruces: Became one of the most productive defensive linemen in the state in 2025. Finished with 89 tackles, 3.0 TFL and 4 QB hurries for the Bulldawgs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103717' first='Jedediah' last='Thomas'], Belen: Listed at 6-foot-2, 260 pounds, Thomas anchored the interior of the defensive line for Belen. Six of his 31 tackles produced negative yardage. Belen has the talent to make a deep playoff run in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103708' first='Johnathon' last='Valenzuela-Chaires'], Centennial: Contributed on both sides of the ball in 2025, but defense was his thing. As a Hawks LB, he made 79 tackles with 3.0 TFL and 3.0 sacks to finish second on the team in total tackles. Watch out for Centennial in 2026. Their offense will be dynamite and the defense should be solid.
