Here are 10 New Additions to the rankings:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kalen Bowannie, Hozho Academy</strong>: Helped the Wolves win 9 games and reach the Class 2A semifinals by proving he's a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. Averaged 18.4 yards per carry (17 rushes for 313 yards, 2 TD) and made 15 receptions for 341 yards and 4 TD. Finished with 804 all-purpose yards. Also had 32 tackles on defense. Excellent two-way player. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2108770' first='Trenton' last='Burkhow'], Bloomfield</strong>: Emerged in 2025 as a reliable contributor in Bloomfield's defensive front seven with 35 tackles, 4.0 TFL, 3.0 sacks and a solid 17 QB hurries. Look for those numbers to increase significantly in 2026.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2108813' first='DeAndre' last='DosAnjos'], West Las Vegas</strong>: Contributed on both sides of the ball for the Dons. Carries 27 times on offense and made nearly 20 tackles on defense. His role should increase significantly next season, so look for as nib jump in his stats. Good size at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2109008' first='Tristan' last='Garcia'], Gallup</strong>: The Bengals were one of the most improved teams in the state this past season with Garcia leading the way. As Gallup's quarterback, he completed 60 percent of his passes for over 1,000 yards and 15 TD, and was part of a balanced ground game. Three of Gallup's top four rushers return in 2026. The future is bright for the Bengals. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2108808' first='Johnny' last='Gonzalez'], Dexter</strong>: 3A Honorable Mention All-State offensive linemen for the Demons. Credited with 7 pancake blocks. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2108601' first='Vaughn' last='Romney'], Las Cruces</strong>: The 67-foot-5, 200-pound Romney combines great size with speed and strength. He enjoyed a solid sophomore season with 60 tackles, 8.0 TFL, 4.0 sacks and an impressive 39 QB hurries. He showcased his ability to penetrate opposing offensive backfield s all season long.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2109721' first='Jonathan' last='Silva'], Valley</strong>: Emerged as one of the top young defensive standouts in the Albuquerque Metro Region in 2025. Led the Vikings with 108 tackles and 3.0 TFL in 11 games. Valley returns many of its top contributors in 2026, so their move to Class 4A should prove successful.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2109037' first='Kylan' last='Spencer'], Lovington</strong>: After showing promise as a sophomore backup in 2025, Spencer will be heavily involved in the Wildcats' QB competition during the offseason. He displayed accuracy in 2025, completing 58 percent of his passes for 306 yards and 5 TD. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2108931' first='Deion' last='Torres'], Gadsden</strong>: He'll be the Panthers' top returning rusher in 2026 after finishing second on the team with 500+ rushing yards and 6 TD. He also caught 16 passes and made 17 tackles on defense. Gadsden returns several major contributors in 2026, so Panthers should sustain the momentum from the past several seasons.
