OL Report: 2029 Lineman On The Rise

The 2029 Rankings are upon us, and with the next wave of prospects starting to shine across the state, we start our first look at the next Pass Catchers, from across New York. While it is too early to evaluate a majority of prospects, we will take a Quick Look, and list some Pro's, and some areas the prospects should look to work on as they progress through the High School Level. In this article, we will look at three 2029 Offensive Lineman from across the state of New York, who you should watch. The Freshman, measured in at 5'10" 320-Pounds, which is an insane frame for a kid his age. Do tho this size, he is a Guard type prospect, but he has some skills at Tackle.   In the run game, LaRocca is an elite prospect, who has pure strength, and can use his good hand placement to move players around on the line. He is not the quickest lineman, but on the EDGE as a Tackle, he gets off the line well and showcases good body control with pass rushing reps.   I like him more as a Guard, but he showcases solid versatility that can be improved easily as a moves throughout High School. I want to see some improved footwork, along with better hand placement. With a kid this big, leverage should be a trait that is perfected as well. Overall an intriguing prospect with a bright future, and high ceiling.        Another Catholic League Prospect makes the list. [player_tooltip player_id='2103137' first='Henry' last='Fried'], stands at 6'3" 240-Pounds, and attends Chaminade High School. I like his frame as it is versatile given both height and weight, and I see him with the ability to play on both sides of the line.   I like him projection wise as a Tackle, mainly on the left side of the line. Through tape, the JV prospect showcases good footwork, along with the ability to attack the LOS, throughout reps. I like his hand placement, and his strength when moving defenders throughout run reps.   Technique is one thing that he can improve, I would also like to see him gain weight, and reach around the 280-Pound mark, as with bigger lineman, he can easily find himself on the losing side of reps with his frame. Fried will be a star in the Catholic League as he progresses through High School.     DeGrazio is a guy who I think has a high ceiling. Carmel has produced some solid lineman over the last few years with DL King Micah Mercer the most recent in the 2026 class. DeGrazio displays a solid frame standing at 5'11" 230-Pounds. I see him as a guy who can play on both sides of the line and mainly on the interior.   Film is limited, but DeGrazio showcased good hand placement, along with solid footwork. On the defensive side of the ball I like how he attacked the LOS on each snap. On offense, I like use of balance while controlling the LOS.   DeGrazio is an up and coming lineman, who can benefit from improving his footwork, leverage, and hand placement. He can easily become a top Lineman in the state, but I also need to see him gain weight.
