The South Central Conference once again proved to be one of the deeper leagues in the state, producing playoff teams, explosive offenses, and a strong collection of young talent poised to take over in the coming seasons. While veteran-led programs like Willamette and Sheldon made noise at the top, the underclassmen across the conference showed they're more than ready for expanded roles. From quarterbacks already commanding varsity offenses to versatile defenders making weekly impacts, the future of the SCC is in good hands. Several sophomores didn't just contribute; they became focal points. As the conference reloads, these are the names that will shape what comes next.

Lake gained valuable varsity reps early in his high school career, handling a tough workload for North Salem. He flashed arm strength and confidence pushing the ball downfield, even in challenging situations. As he continues to develop physically and mentally, the game should slow down for him.
