Class of 2028 Prospects Continue To Emerge

This is the time of year when football prospects – in every class – will start to surface and gain momentum.   As college coaches are traveling across the state of Florida to find out which student/athletes have matured and are now on the radar, the many prospects are starting to showcase their skills at various events.   With 7-on-7 tournament being held every weekend along with camps and combines, which test and uncover new talent, this is the time of year when Florida has a huge advantage over anywhere else in the country.   As the snow falls and temperatures drop across the country, the Sunshine State certainly lives up to why there are so many gifted football players who are competing across the country at colleges and universities.   While plenty of attention is being paid to the rising senior (2027) class, there are several rising juniors (2028) who are also getting plenty of attention – and today – we will help to shine the spotlight on some of them. Yet another one of those under-the-radar performers who is ready to have a breakout off-season. Started this past season as a 16-year-old at the varsity level and showcased some impressive skills that college coaches and recruiting analysts noticed. He is a very athletic talent that is still learning the position, and with some camps and combines in the spring and summer, you can guarantee that this a name that everyone will start to hear. Another huge off-season transfer, he takes his talents from Bradenton IMG Academy to play for the powerhouse Indians. He saw limited playing time this past season but has already hit the ground running in the off-season at 7-on-7 events as well as preparing for combines and exposure events that will certainly enhance his recruiting. Has an opportunity to make a huge impact – with some quality players around him. Easily one of the offensive catalysts for the Rural State Champion Hornets. Someone who stepped in and led this program with a strong arm, athleticism and leadership way beyond his years. His 2,581 passing yards included 30 touchdown passes on 174 completions. Was one of the prospects who was in the running for the prestigious Mr. Florida Football award. Here is a two-year varsity starter that continues to turn heads as a two-way performer for the Raiders. From his youth football days to now, he has been able to turn heads and make a major impact. This past season, he finished with 41 receptions for 606 yards and four touchdowns. He also had four kick returns for 162 yards and a touchdown. His 785 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns also led the team. On the defensive side of the ball, he finished with 66 tackles, one forced fumble, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and four pass breakups. In a state that is always loaded with talent, here is a prospect who has been on the radar for three years.  Starting out at Cocoa Beach, he made his way to play for the Tigers last season and showcased some skills and plenty of speed. He had left a mark as an eighth grader when he was named as an MVP of the Prep Redzone Florida event at Orlando Boone High School. This is a versatile talent who can play running back for lineup at the slot position and create positives with his skill. Keep an eye on this quality talent this coming season because this will be the year that he really puts himself on the map!
