2027 Sherman QB [player_tooltip player_id='1272608' first='Eli' last='Pauley'] is a top small school quarterback prospect to know in the class and rounds out our Top 10 QB rankings. He threw for 2,200 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior and doubled as a defensive standout with 44 tackles and 8 interceptions. Pauley has size limitations, but has proven production and positional versatility that will open the doors for future college opportunities.

2027 Fairmont Senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1155297' first='Jared' last='Rhodes'] emerged as a standout on defense for the Polar Bears this season after transferring in from Bridgeport. He brought the established toughness and physicality mindset from the Indians' program with him to his new program, which immediately translated to success. Rhodes has length limitations at 5'9, but his film suggests he'll be able to play at the D2 or D3 level in the future.

An underrated playmaker at the skill position in the 2027 class is Ripley WR [player_tooltip player_id='2090772' first='Parker' last='Keller']. He's a versatile athlete who could've been labeled an ATH in the rankings and can impact the game at multiple positions and in all three phases. Keller is also a standout specialist for the Vikings and has the potential to punt or kick in college as a well-rounded athlete.

We liked the potential and upside we saw from 2027 Hedgesville EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1855841' first='Jordan' last='Burch'] in his junior film. He has a nice frame to mold at 6'2 200, and made some plays for the Eagles this season that you can envision what he can develop into in the future. Burch has the frame and athleticism paired with technique that have him among the top EDGE prospects in the class and a potential future stock riser in the rankings.

The South Charleston passing game was limited this season, but we saw flashes of potential from a pair of 2027 pass catchers. The first Black Eagles receiver to know is [player_tooltip player_id='1695999' first='Christian' last='Perkins'], who possesses a big frame and moldable skill set. Ignoring the stat sheet, Perkins' best plays should leave you excited about his future. If they can get the ball in his hands more in his senior season, he's sure to climb the rankings.

2027 Independence OL [player_tooltip player_id='1696014' first='Levi' last='Phalin'] debuts as the #26 offensive lineman in the class after a successful junior year for the Patriots. He manned the center position this season after seeing time at tackle in the past and did a nice job in that role. At 6'1 265, Phalin still has room to grow physically, but his aggressiveness and fire off the line stood out in run blocking when watching his tape.

[player_tooltip player_id='1668898' first='Derek' last='Jewell'] has steadily developed in the Tug Valley program and should have his breakout season as a senior in 2026. The junior WR/DB was a two-way standout who may be overshadowed by other top athletes in the Panthers' talented 2027 class, with 500 receiving yards and 6 scores on offense paired with 49 tackles and an interception on defense. A big senior season for Jewell could bring in D2 attention as a prospect with a high D3 floor.

The second 2027 South Charleston WR to know in the class and showcased potential and upside on tape was [player_tooltip player_id='1689889' first='Mike'Kai' last='Gordon']. He's another receiver for the Black Eagles whose stats won't wow you, but you can tell that he has some juice with the ball in his hands if they can find more ways to get it to him. Gordon has dynamic playmaking potential out of the slot if he takes a step forward as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371444' first='Johnny' last='Droneburg'] stepped into a starting role as a junior for the Spring Mills Cardinals and solidified their center position for two years. The 2027 offensive lineman lacks size right now, but he produced on film that should open the door for future college opportunities. Droneburg uses his hands well and plays with good leverage that allows him to overcome physical limitations.
