With our region's first significant snowfall imminent and looming, I was back on the grind. On Saturday, December 13, 2025 Prep Redzone was boots-on-the-ground in Warwick, New York as we hosted our latest rendition of the Stock Up Showcase. Below are my notes from the position group referenced in this article's title.

Kicking off today's coverage is [player_tooltip player_id='1231909' first='Michael' last='Webster']. One of the smaller linemen in attendance, Webster was a scrappy one. More than any other prospect in attendance, I noted how he did a great job of fighting to keep his hands inside and tight to his opponents chest. Whenever Webster lost a bout, it had nothing to do with his technique - there were just some mammoth man-children competing at this particular event. Webster will be fine as long as he commits to his craft and sticks with their strength and conditioning program.

According to my records, bib #59 belonged to [player_tooltip player_id='2075320' first='Gus' last='McCourt'], who registered as an offensive lineman. However, upon reviewing my notes McCourt seems to have competed as a defensive lineman. As such, I was a bit disappointed to see that the defensive line coach never corrected McCourt's stance. His back foot was way too far back and thus extended with no power angles. AS a result, McCourt had a slow get off. Furthermore, this stance caused his balance to suffer. Anyone more powerful and aggressive than him was in prime position to knock him off balance and win the rep.

There is something I admire about prospect who keep working, keep grinding, and improve. This is what [player_tooltip player_id='2075859' first='Angelo' last='Garzon'] managed to do. At first I thought that Garzon relinquished his posture too soon and that he struggled with his sleight of foot to ride opponents out of the frame. By the time he took his third rep, however, Garzon got it down. I noticed him actively working his hands more and moving his feet quicker as the afternoon wore on. A bit of a scrappy player, Garzon appeared to play through to the whistle and stayed in front of his matchup from thereon out.
