The Georgia high school state championships are here, and there are plenty of top tier games that are set for the event. Both Jefferson (No. 1) and Sandy Creek (No. 3) are top teams in 3A and will play each other in the Benz. Here are three players on each team who could make a major difference.

For a team that throws the ball a minimum amount, the talented defensive back made the most of his time on the offensive side this season. He is a two-way star who is best on the defensive side, but has the chance to make some noise on both sides of the football. He led the Sandy Creek Patriots in receiving yards last week, nearly finishing the contest with 100 yards. The smooth prospect has a solid frame and can be used in a variety of different ways. He has quickly become one of the top players in the state of Georgia. Hadley has the chance to truly put this game away with a team that he is playing which has struggled with passing the ball at times.

There is no running back that I would personally take over Latimer in the state of Georgia. He is a back that is among the best, with a huge frame that is paired with great decision-making. Latimer has quickly become a power back and a problem for those who try to stop him. He will be on his way to the West Virginia Mountaineers, and with that being said, they are getting someone who can have an immediate impact. If you need a guy to hit the whole and do it at 100% then Latimer is your guy. He is a pure bruiser, but don't sleep on the acceleration that comes with it.

An edge rusher with a lot of potential to be a top guy in the state. He can get to the QB with ease and has a deep bag of tricks. One of the more elusive guys at the position, which is what you would hope for when it comes to a guy who is a bit undersized. He had a massive game last week, and a game that the Dragons are very appreciative of. Austin is only getting better and has worked his way into a huge role with this team. He is someone who can bandage any damage they look to create, and is a guy that the Patriots will dominate with when it comes to the run. For him to be an EDGE, you will see his helmet on the football a ton.

Primm is a guy who has quickly become a force for the Dragons. He is a baseball star, but away from the baseball field, he is a football guy who has seen a lot of success. He has had reps at running back and wide receiver, but he is mostly known for his work at the linebacker position as of recently. Primm is someone who will get to the ball quickly with top-end speed on the field. He is a bit undersized, but a great motor allows him to drive through people. Primm is reliable on both sides of the football and has a future that looks promising ahead of him, considering he is only a junior.

Pinkard has been splitting reps between three positions, and is a guy who has really started to become a premier offensive weapon during this season. He is a senior and has recently been playing running back, where he has found a different type of stride. He has become a guy who has been getting the bulk of the carries. He finished last week's game with a total of 24 carries, which is a huge amount, especially on the high school level. Pinkard has done a great job and has made the most of his opportunities. For that reason alone, I believe he is a top-end player in this game.

Gaddis was the MVP in the last game for the Dragons, and he will have a huge job no matter where he is working in the DB room. He finished the game with four tackles for loss, which is a team high for the game, while also finishing up with 10 total tackles on the day. He is consistently getting better on the field, and his lengthy size compared to others in the 3A division has shown at times. He can contain very well, but his angles to the football and the ball carrier are nothing short of phenomenal. One of my favorite players in 3A currently.
