The Trench Trophy is awarded annually to Western New York's best Senior lineman. The following 12 OL/DL have been named finalists for the award and the winner will be named on Thursday, December 11th.

[player_tooltip player_id='1621875' first='Javez' last='Caldwell'] (Canisius) - Caldwell is a two time All Catholic selection and has lead the way for one of the most dynamic rushing attacks in WNY. He is an athletic two-way player with top notch awareness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1708133' first='Eligh' last='Deleon'] (Jamestown) - Being a two-way starter in Class AA is not easy but DeLeon is proving to be one of the best amongst his group. He uses his leverage and hand placement well and was a big reason for the Red & Green's success this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1258819' first='Richard' last='Donohue'] (Iroquois) - I started covering Donohue in his sophomore season as a DE but he has emerged as a top guy on the OL as well. Richard moved from FB to OL half way through his junior year and has been a menace in the trenches.

Izaias Dowdy (Randolph) - Randolph struggled at times this season but Dowdy was one of their more consistent pieces. He has a massive frame at 6'4 265 lbs. and is one of the best OL/DL prospects in Class D.

[player_tooltip player_id='1345118' first='Amos' last='Lutete'] (Bennett) - Amos was one of my preseason sleeper picks for the Trench Trophy. He has a high motor and blocks to the whistle. He would be more impactful as a DL at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1624518' first='Kaius' last='Mattoon'] (Clarence) - Clarence came in with probably the best senior OL group, with two members making the finalists list. He is an aggressive blocker that can manhandle the opposition.

Matt Redlecki (CSP) - CSP is coming off back to back Class D championships and moved to Class C this season. Although the competition was tougher, Redlecki led the defensive charge with a team high 6 QB sacks to go along with his 50 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Joe Sacco (South Park) - Sacco is the only player this season to receive a weekly Trench Trophy nomination and a Connolly Cup Player of the Week mention. He is an agile presence that has gained a lot of recognition as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='505866' first='Jaizen' last='Warren'] (Bennett) - Warren is a two-way stud that anchored an OL that produced two-1,000 yard rushers. But his tenacity on the DL (7 sacks as a DT) is what will give him collegiate recognition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333933' first='William' last='Wortkoetter'] (St. Francis) - No surprise here as I consider Wortkoetter the best OL in the area. He has incredible strength and was a dominant force in the Red Raiders MMHSAA championship run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1733770' first='Quincy' last='Patterson Jr'] (Health Sciences) - Patterson is a big body at 6'3 270 lbs. He had a big breakout season this year as Health Sciences leader on the OL where the Falcons once again ran for over 3,000 yards and more than 40 TDs on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='806822' first='Ivan' last='Pusloskie'] (Clarence) - Another one of my pre-season sleeper picks, Pusloskie is incredibly strong and has been a dynamic force for the Red Devils for the past three years.
