The 5A bracket has gifted us with a great matchup in round 2, with the Arapahoe Warriors traveling to Boulder to face off against the Fairview Knights. There is a plethora of D1 talent on both teams. Let's dive into it.

We also have our Stock Up Showcase event on December 13th! It's a great way to gain extra exposure as a prospect, and gain valuable measurables. I will be in attendance evaluating prospects, and I hope to see you there !

Arapahoe Warriors

The Warriors are entering this week 7-4. They run a balanced offense with a preference on running more. Sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1581248' first='Theo' last='Lee'] has thrown 130/219 for 1834 yards, 18 TDs, 9 INT. Lee uses his very good throw power to launch it downfield effortlessly. He is very accurate under pressure, standing in the pocket with multiple defenders blitzing, and can still throw an accurate pass. His eyes are always downfield and he'll look to dice up the Fairview defense. His highlights are below.

Landron Drumm is the #1 receiver for Arapahoe and is a phenomenal talent at the position. He had 43 receptions for 737 yards and 9 touchdowns with 3 carries for 57 yards and 1 touchdown. He uses his very good athletic ability to get open. Drumm has very good catching skills and is a contested catch machine. Very good ball body adjustment and control. His highlights are below.

You can't forget leading rusher senior [player_tooltip player_id='1113001' first='Jayden' last='Tackitt']. This season, he has 158 carries for 963 yards and 6 touchdowns. He's an elusive back that slips through the offensive line and punishes the defense for big gains. I just did an evaluation on him, click here to read it !

[player_tooltip player_id='1369310' first='Brody' last='Sieck'] is currently the Colorado leader in sacks. He has 93 total tackles, 27 TFL, 17.5 sacks, 14 QB pressures, and 2 FF. The Air Force commit has elite initial quickness out of his stance paired with elite strength and elite block shedding. He has relentless pursuit, very good bend, and is the best edge rusher in Colorado. He can change the game on a wim. His highlights are below. Safety [player_tooltip player_id='1113101' first='Sam' last='Johnson'] and LB [player_tooltip player_id='1514976' first='Connor' last='Gilchrist'] both are impact players that create plays on the defense.

Fairview Knights

Fairview is going into the game 9-1. The Knights also run a balanced offense with 244 carries to 207 passing attempts. [player_tooltip player_id='777474' first='Toray' last='Davis'] leads the way, and he's one of the best players I've scouted. If keeps on his current trajectory, he'll be playing on Sundays.

Junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1566728' first='Ki' last='Ellison'] has grown a lot from his sophomore season. He has 121/174 for 2289 with 69.5% completion rate, 27 TDs, 5 INTs with 43 carries for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns. He has very good throw power and release. He's accurate downfield and stays poised. One thing about Ellison is he won't put the ball in harms way. I did a full evaluation on him a couple days ago. Click here to read it. I included his highlights below.

The 6'2 180-pound athlete has 57 carries for 525 yards, 22 touchdowns, 53 receptions for 1214 yards, 13 touchdowns, with 46 total tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack, 5 INT, 5 PD and 1 FF. [player_tooltip player_id='777474' first='Toray' last='Davis'] has elite athletic ability. On offensive, he has an elite burst of speed whether rushing or receiving. Very good separation quickness. He'll outrun the defender and then use his suction hands to come down with the ball. Very good body adjustment and control. On defense, he locks up the WRs, and is stride for stride with them. Very good read and reaction time. Very good man coverage and zone coverage. Davis also excels in the run game and blitzing. He's a premier prospect. Check it out for yourself down below.

Sabi Ruttgers is another two way star for Fairview. Measures in at 5'10 170-pounds, he has 30 carries for 204 yards, 7 TDs, 25 receptions for 471 yards, 7 TDs, 49 total tackles, 6 TFL, 1 INT, and 9 PD. He has elite acceleration, very good speed, change of direction, and balance. Quick twitch on both sides. On offense, he has very good release and separation quickness to get open. Very good body control and adjustment. When running, he has very good vision and glides through the defense. On defense, he has very good read and reaction time. Very good tackling, he lays the boom on ball carriers. He's lockdown in zone coverage well. Ruttgers is legit. Check below.

Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1312328' first='Luca' last='Fasano'] (6'3 265) and [player_tooltip player_id='1619017' first='Enzo' last='Pulte'] (6'5 220) lead the line with their bruising and powerful playstyle. Fasano has very good strength and intial quickness. He has very good balance, knee bend, and flexibility. Very good hand placement and strength to over power his opponent. Fasano is a major reason why Fairview has a successful running game.

Pulte has been getting action on defensive too, with 15 total tackles, 5 TFL. Pulte has very good strength and overpowers his opponent easily. Good knee bend and very good balance. Pulte is a strong run blocker. He gets low and uses a very good anchor in pass protection to create more time in the pocket for his QB. On defense, he a powerful bull rush to knock the OL around.

Final Thoughts

I'm very excited for this matchup. Arapahoe will have some trouble going against a top tier safety duo in [player_tooltip player_id='777474' first='Toray' last='Davis'] and Sabi Ruttgers. I believe Arapahoe will have to sustain longer drives with the run game, to counteract the dynamic duo. Fairview's offensive line will have its hands full with [player_tooltip player_id='1369310' first='Brody' last='Sieck']. This is looking to be a classic Colorado matchup.

The 5A bracket has gifted us with a great matchup in round 2, with the Arapahoe Warriors traveling to Boulder to face off against the Fairview Knights. There is a plethora of D1 talent on both teams. Let's dive into it.
