Players to watch in the VHSL playoffs: Region 5A Quarterbacks

Through November 5th, he had completed 139-of-173 passes for 2,228 yards, 26 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Ashcraft threw a nice 27 yard fade pass to a wide receiver in the back of the end zone. The receiver beat the defender by a couple of yards and he put just enough touch on the ball where he was able to run under it and not have to wait for it. On another touchdown pass, Ashcraft threw a nice 30-yard strike to a receiver who was ran a post from the z-position. Going not the playoffs, he's thrown for 1,855 yards and 18 passing touchdowns. On the 71-yard touchdown pass, Lewis threw to a receiver on a crossing pattern while getting pressured, and the receiver made a big play out of a short gain.
