Round 2 in the playoffs is right around the corner. Today, I selected some individuals who I believe will have big performances and help elevate their team's ceiling during the 5A matchups. Let's dive into it.

We also have our Stock Up Showcase event on December 13th! It's a great way to gain extra exposure as a prospect, and gain valuable measurables. If you interested, click this link to sign up and use code TateWinterPRZ at checkout for $10 off. I will be in attendance evaluating prospects, and I hope to see you there !

Meurer has balled out all season, and is looking to continue his hot streak against Grandview. The 6'0 175-pound WR/DB has 55 receptions for 812 yards and 9 touchdowns, with 24 total tackles (11 solo, 13 assisted). Very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, change of direction, and jumping. Demonstrates very good release at the line of scrimmage using his very quick feet to beat the DB with ease. Very good separation quickness. He'll outrun the DB, out muscle the DB, or find an open void to exploit for an easy completion. Smooth route running skills. Very good body adjustment and control. Very good ball tracking and catching. He uses his strong hands to rip the ball out of the air, and hold onto it while falling onto the ground. Very good blocker to create lanes for his running backs. I've loved watching Meurer over the years, and I'm excited to see how he plays in his playoff game this season.

Petree's bruising running ability is a great complement to [player_tooltip player_id='1338172' first='Xavier' last='Lukes']. The 5'11 215 RB/LB has 82 carries for 452 yards and 7 touchdowns with 7 receptions for 38 yards. 61 total tackles (11 solo, 50 assisted), 9 TFL, and 2 QB pressures. Good athletic ability due to very good speed, balance, good acceleration, and change of direction. Petree uses his very good vision to pick, slide, and accelerate into the hole. Very good inside running and outside running. He thrives with contact, consistently creating yards after contact. It takes multiple defenders to take him down. He's a great downhill linebacker. Very good read and reaction speed. Good range from sideline to sideline. Very good tackler and run support. Good blitz take off and a good bull rush as well. This two-way stud is looking ahead for a big game against Mullen, on both sides of the ball.

Spence has balled out all season, and will continue in these playoffs. The 5'10 170-pound WR/DB has 48 carries for 741 yards and 7 touchdowns, with 9 carries for 55 yards and 1 touchdown, 26 total tackles (16 solo, 10 assisted), 2.5 TFL, 2 PD, 2 INT (both for TDs), 233 total kick/punt return yards. Spence has very good athletic ability due to elite change of direction, very good balance, speed, and acceleration. Very good release against both off coverage and press jam. Uses good strength to fight the jam, and break into his route. Crisp route running skills with very good separation quickness. Very good body control and adjustment. He'll contort his body to make the tough catch, and keep his feet in bounds on sidelines. Spence is a great defensive back. Very good zone coverage and man. He has a smooth and controlled back pedal, and fluid hips to match the receiver and stay stride for stride with them. Spence is a beast, and he's just getting started in these playoffs.

Matthews has burst onto the scene this season, and is looking to continue his domination against Fountain-Fort Carson. The 6'1 205-pound linebacker has 108 total tackles (34 solo, 74 assisted), 9 TFL, 2 sacks, 3 INT (1 was a TD), 1 FR (for a TD). Very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, lateral quickness, good jumping, and balance. Matthews has very good strength. Very good read and reaction speed paired with very good ball tracking. Very good pass coverage. He runs and plucks the ball out of the air with ease, and gets big returns on them. Very good tackling. Very good get off speed and block shedding. He's patient on option plays and swing passes, not getting fooled. Matthews has relentless pursuit, and doesn't give up until the play is finished. He has very good range and a very good blitzer. This senior's play is a lot like P4 linebackers. It's also cool our names are opposite of each other.

Iglesias has had himself a great senior season, and is looking to continue into the playoffs. The 5'11 180-pound wide receiver has 24 receptions for 359 yards and 6 touchdowns. He has good athletic ability due to very good speed, change of direction, good acceleration, and jumping. Good release at the line of scrimmage. Quick cuts into his route, with good separation quickness. Iglesias has very good ball tracking and catching skills. Very good body control, and adjustment to the ball in flight. If you need a catch, he's your guy. He uses his strong hands to hold onto the ball while taking big hits instantly after the catch. After the catch, he uses his very good juke move to create space for extra yards. I'm excited to see how he does against Fort Collins, in Legend's first playoff game of the season.
